LR Budget Rifle
Kenny
At the moment I am .020" off the lands.
I think the shortness of the throat is exagerated by the short neck on the case. That and the fact the 175 is a rather short, blunt bullet when compared to others and the boat tail makes up around 17% of the projectiles length
Currently there is 37% of the projectile below the top of the case making it look rather short....... and it is winter so there may be shrinkage

You crazy fool ! :lol:I just got them !!! I got one from the SARA store and they had a couple left. Mine was a barreled (.308) action for $150 +$20 postage. The rest were complete rifles.
I bought it unseen on the basis that it "looks fine"..the barrel could be OK, it's tempting to send it to Shane for scope bases to be fitted and then chuck it in a stock and see if it's any good.
The other one was a reply from my Wanted ad on the Ozfclass forum.
3 months on I had given up on that avenue and out of the blue I got a reply from a bloke with a new, UNFIRED Omark action. So I had to buy it even though the other one was on its way. So now I have a double dilemma with choosing a chambering !

Sam
I just re-read this thread after posting it for Mullet and saw your question about the adaptor
It was custom made by Tony Z when he did the smith work on the rifle. If you are chasing any information on it then probably best speaking with TZ.
Also did you see the post of the roller extractor that he fitted to my rifle too? Definitely look at getting this fitted to your Omarks as they definitely help with extraction.
