G"Day Ron,
Was the first SK group shot after using one of the better lubed projectiles and not cleaned between types, looks as if the lube was burning out and the groups showed that.!!

Agree. Now if you could just take the lube from whatever you shot previously and put it on the SK...native hunter wrote:G"Day Ron,

Re: Maddco Barrels.!!
Hi NH , im a lazy prick when it comes to cleanning between different brands of ammo. So thinking like a mythbuster, i decided to go to my sighter target and fire 5 rounds of the New ammo before shooting two groups with it, thinking it would settle in on that batch . I did this for all groups so i thought it would be an easier way of testing. But maybe i should have properly cleaned with rimfire blend and cleanning rod. I may do this up at St Marys Indoor where i can spend all day and not be pressed by time. So il re do my testing and post results ! And to answer your question yes i did, i shot the single group of Lapua blue tin then moved over to the left smallest group of sk match 50. Blue can is really slippery to handle where as the match only the projectile is lubed not the whole case.

Re: Maddco Barrels.!!
Well , i went and did some more testing last night and here are the results. 50mtrs in Calm conditions, only difference was this was at night. Before i started i cleanned with rimfire blend and tampons and did the same with every type of ammo. Then before startings groups i fired TWO only fouling shots of each. I used three different styles of shooting, pinching trigger and trigger guard , free recoil and a very light grip.
Cheers Ron

Hi Ron,
Interesting testing,
1: looks like you need a tunner,
2: the 2 low drop outs on the Olimp R are very interesting. I found a couple of those as well in my ammo testing. I had the Chrono set up and they were 50fps slower, not good.
3: Rifle seems to prefer light grip, thats how I and most of the top shooters in Aus and USA shoot.
I will try and get my testing results in order and post them up.
Brett

G"day Ron,
Yeah a tuner would see alot of that disappear if it were allowed, but it looks to me that the bedding may be an issue.??

Re: Maddco Barrels.!!
Hi Brett , yeah it is a worry re Olimp-R , but at least i wont have the expense of feeding it $42 per pkt ammo .
It seemed it liked Eley team the best, il have to souce some for this rifle around that speed and keep a record of ammo per rimfire. The light grip is the easiest way to shoot anyways and seemed to work best, so il stick with that. Hi NH , what does it say in the rules barrel tuners arent allowed in H/C ? News to me ! Cheers Ron
PS Brett33 , I got my Guy to do the trigger on CM2 and is NOW magic !

G"Day Ron,
Yeah i get mixed up with all the different disciplines and associations.!!
theres TRA,SSAA,IRB,RBA,SARAI,HG,LG,HC,Silhouette,prone silhoutte,class1,class2,open,unlimited.??
Where does it stop.!!!
I suppose if the match you shoot suits you then you really only need to know what the rules are for the type of shoots you attend.
