How much 2219 should I put in behind those 68 Barts?

Hi AI,
I am running 26.5gn 2219 in my PPC. I am using 68gn Barts (moly) and CCI Primers. This will give you a starting point mate. I did a bit of testing between 2219, BM1 and BM2 and this is the load that my rifle liked.

Jimbo,

Only use 2219 in one barrel....a 1.250" straight Maddco heavy in my Stolle...bought 10kgs of BM2 so wont use 2219 for a while...it gives better velocity then BM2....but I'm using my Bat from now on and keeping the Stolle for a backup gun...cya in Canberra.

Jimbo,
Is that a good 'wind cutting' load? Did you use that load at the Madden?
 Possibly
Sheep stations? Didn't know there was one up for grabs. Then again, with the price of stock these days who'd want one. However, perhaps the Para boys will come over and try to bring one home.
By the way, didn't I read where you won a couple of the aggregates last year?

Mate...I will take a sheep station any day....and turn it into a private benchrest range...with introduced feral critters running about all over the back blocks...just for my enjoyment :D So sorry ...you Para boys are gunna miss out

And Yep I got lucky............but hey didn't I read somewhere you had a SHOCKER :P

Will see you at Majura.....did you say somewhere you had a March scope I could look through ?? You have gotta tell Steve about Stuart and the goat

Hi All - Seasons Greetings!!!

As I have never been to the Canberra range, nor shot any competition further than 300m, would it be worth heading down for a look (as a spectator)?

(When I grow up I would like to shoot a long way too)

Rabbitz,

The Australia day shoot is Short Range BR only 100 & 200 but it would still be worth a look if like to look at top of the range equipment and see what sort of results the top shooters get with that gear.

cheers

No, I don't have a March scope, but I did have the use of one at a club match. I'm glad I tried one, 'cos it saved me $2800. I'll stick with the Sightrons, and my B&L 36x for backup. I think you may see a March scope on Barry W's rifle, or if not, one of the West Aussies.

Jimbo,

Good to see you could read my post...I dunno what happened there..I guess you could say I 'missed the condition' ...............bloody quote button grrrrrr

I will definately have a squizz through Barry's scope. Did you see Robin HAD a B&L for sale....jeez I wish I had seen that sooner... there can't be too many around.....well not for sale anyway.

Rabbitz,

Mate ..if you come over, ask anyone you see walking around looking confused and weary to point me out...they will probably be a benchrest shooter :D Definately worth a look at the equipment used, there are some sweet rigs on the line.
You can watch through my spotter...if you can get my young bloke away from it

Kenny,

Don't think Bazza will be in Canberra...spoke to uncle Nick and he said Bazz has had an operation on his shoulder and it didn't go to well...he's in a lot of pain...Sully had his March scope at Coffs but didn't get a look through it.

Do you want the Stolle before Canberra to give Ant some practice....i will take it up to Pistol club and sight in on Sunday....have set up a seater die for it and have a neck die if you want as well.

Uncle Nicks' looking for a boarder at the same accommodation we are staying at...give me a ring Friday night and we'll work out some details...fuckin Telstra has fucked up our phone and wont let us ring out after 7pm.

Spoke to Robin Elton, he is not getting them anymore, not worth his effort he said. He was my first point of call.

Dave Kerr has a couple, going to ring him this arvo.

Have been offered a Maddco dual port actioned rifle too.. wating on pictures. How do these Maddco actions rate?

Cheers
