From my very first post I was really looking from answer from Kenny and Steven.. as I remember them getting barrels etc for them. I just had not heard anything else of them.. so I thought I'd ask!
30BR as a long range cartridge.... it can be competitive at Fly.. its also taken out a ground hog match in the US!
Would I pick one for Fly.. No................ but saying that... is a 6mmDasher competitive at Fly... majority would say no.... but I say yes!!!
Cheers

AI,
The 6 mm has much better bullets ballistically for LR than the 30 BR. As such it should out perform it .. that said the right shooter on the right day can turn things on there head.
The Pro Cal last Sept (2006) won by Dave Waters with a 338 Ultra cat wind .. where would a 30 BR rate that day ???
Yes I know you were after short range info.
cheers

You would sell a 300 Win mag ... what ever happened to that rifle ??? I expected someone to turn up to a shoot and hammer you with it .. never happened ?Would I pick one for Fly.. No................ but saying that... is a 6mmDasher competitive at Fly... majority would say no.... but I say yes!!!
