No worries Steve. I was just curious as I make a few stocks myself.

By the sounds of it, the stock is not a commercially made stock which means that there is someone else out there making them too and obviously from oz! :D

Al, getting back to the action , I like the Stiller because it has a smaller diameter firing pin.

You can run the 6BR family of cartrigdes to the max without fear of primer piercing. Even the Python has the small dia pin.

Hope this helps

Hi Cameron

Thanks for the info. It seems that that the viper may be the way to go.

Anyone got a spare one they want to sell??

when ordering a stolle you have the choice of 3 firing pin diameters, 0.075", 0.068" and 0.062"

Al
If I were to build a 6BR/ IMP for 600 or 1000BR I'd go with a Stiller Drop port. Lots of pluses, the biggest IMO is the hard anodise. For any other caliber a BAT.

Hi Guys

Thanks for all the input on this one. I actually got to have a look at a panda in the flesh today and will get to eyeball a viper next weekend.

I think the hard thing will be trying to find an action that is for sale.
