1000yd # crunching

Post by a.JR »

Hi all, Went back through all the 1000 yd results to see how the 6mms compared with the big stuff .. Well it looks a lot better than the 500met results i must say .. I consider that an 8 inch group from a light gun is starting to get on top , so here are the stats from Light Gun since it started 8.00 ins or better for 5 shots
22cal x 2
6mm X 19
25 cal x1
6.5mm x26
7mm x22
30cal x 20
Now in Heavy gun there are not a lot of takers for this event ,why i don't know because it's easier to do pretty good at 1000yds than it is at 500met FLY..But i still consider a 8.00 inch 10 shot group to be dooin well so to the numbers..
22cal x 0
6mm x 0
6.5 mm x 0
7mmx 6
30cal x 20
So there it is ,looks like time to get those 6s and 6.5s to the 1K matchs, don't it..JR..Jeff Rogers

Hi Jeff, some good figures there, can you edit your post and place the number of matches it took for each calibre to achieve their wins. For example; 6.5mm 20 wins from 27 matches.

Pete.

PS Jeff, can you tell me if the 1000yrd line in Brisbane is under cover or not.
