Shilouette shoot

Post by reloaderman »

I just came from a silhouette shoot, Cowboy silhouettes, I shoot in the "A" class. That's about as low as you can get ( there's a "B" class but nobody shoots that bad ). Using my Henry 22rf, I managed a 2nd place in my class ( only 3 shooters ), then a buddy says " I have enough ammo if you want to try the BigBore shoot." Sure , why not, so I'm shooting his 1894 ( original ) Winchester lever gun in 25-20 cal. Low and behold, at the end of the match I get a pin for first place !
Now that sounds like I know what I'm doing, truth is I was the only one in my class and it was a registered match, so the range officer says I have to take the pin! I declined but they all insisted ........ so I know have a !st place pin. Laughed all the way home!

Summer is going great! Hotter then a $3 pistol ( so far 15 days above 100F ) .
Everyone is lamenting he lack of jackrabbits, we're in a down cycle right now and the bunnies are scarce!
I do lots of rimfire shooting lately, just seems like more fun and no reloading! The rimfire ammo price has jumped up about 40 or 50% ( when you can find it! ) since our new "president" took office, and the EBG's are nowhere to be found! ( EBG= evil black guns ie. AR15 types ). How's the ammo situation over there?
Primer and other components are getting hard to find, also.

I don't buy centerfire factory loads so I can't comment on those.22lr are available at my gunshop.Price is always creeping up.Primers ,particularily Federal are scarce.Projectiles it varies.Flow on from your problems.
Love the heat so I think I'd like Texas in summer.
Have a good one,

well I have all the gear to compete in some serious LR comps, trouble is the three main shoots I go to, which are meant be like state titles are also my practice matches. The only way I'll get a pin is if everyone else is a no show.

Love your style!
