I think the shoots at Hornsby have to be booked at least a year in advance....dont hold your breath waiting.

Mate you dont need to book for the Bay just turn up
Re: 2009 Fly Shoots
So it's not like Canberra then. The Federal was booked out 2 months ahead of the shoot (no benches).Rinso wrote:Mate you dont need to book for the Bay just turn up

I'll ask Jim McKinley if he can put me on the bench next you at the next shoot in Canberra as I almost have the .338 Winchester Magnum tamed.

300rum. The muzzle brake makes recoil less than a 243.
I'm thinking of getting a heavier bench stock and just swapping the stock for fly shoots. I currently just have a standard Remington Sendero SFII stock, I thinks it's a HS Precision.

You can put that 338WM right beside me...... the little 6mm knows what to do them big suckers...... By time you've tamed the first shot, my 5 will be on the target....

Re: 2009 Fly Shoots
Know what mean, one year at Canberra I had a 338 Lapua on one side and a 30-04 Imp on the other, burning about 200grns of powder between them per shot and me in the middle with a 6BR using 29grns per shot and flogged em both !!!Ackley Improved wrote:You can put that 338WM right beside me...... the little 6mm knows what to do them big suckers...... Re: 2009 Fly Shoots
Yeah Matt.. I've had a similar experience... stuck between a 300YOGI and a 7mmSTW. Couldnt shoot when they did as I had to wait for my crosshair to stop vibrating! The little 6's still held its own!Matt P wrote:Know what mean, one year at Canberra I had a 338 Lapua on one side and a 30-04 Imp on the other, burning about 200grns of powder between them per shot and me in the middle with a 6BR using 29grns per shot and flogged em both !!!Ackley Improved wrote:You can put that 338WM right beside me...... the little 6mm knows what to do them big suckers......
