What to do with my new action?

I,ve had this action sitting in the gunsafe for a while,

It's time to get this project moving as my sharpshooter LRBR stock is on its way.
It will be used for F-class & will order a sightron s111 8-32x56 as soon as opticzone can get them, already have farrell base & will probably use burris xtr rings.
The only thing left i haven't decided is what barrel & caliber,

Don't know whether to screw it up with the savage nut, or conventionally.
Any recommendations for a QLD gunsmith who will do a good job?, I heard Phil Jones imports shilen barrels, anyone with his contact details?
Now which caliber? thinking 6.5 something, yes i know, already got a 6br. shortlist- 6.5x55, 6.5-284, 260, maybe a 284, also thinking F-standard 308.
Yes, i also know i could have bought a savage F-class off the shelf, but thats not as much fun is it? plus i can just buy a bit every now & then, & the missus will never know i got a new gun, sneaky hey!

Cleavers have got em, cant lay my hands on reciept atm, i think about $790 posted to my door.I was going to get the left port, but none were available, didn't worry me that much.
Hopefully i'll have the stock next week, blue/black laminate.

I would recommend you post it to Narranderra to get something built. I would also be keen to here if your smith thinks its good to go from the box or whether they want to true it up a bit.

I've got more rifles than I need but these actions have always interested me for some reason.

Yes Phil Jones imports shilen barrels, he's just fitted one to my win .243 for 1000yd br, trued the action and done trigger etc, still load testing but all looking real good so far.

Go for a great alrounder like a 6-6.5x47. Not to big for the short ranges, but does well in the longs.
