Hill Top F open

Post by macca »

Went to Hill Top for their F class day.
We had twenty shooters and some tough competition.
Lots of countbacks to break up the ranges and aggregate.
We shot 300/400/500meters.
Winner went 295/300.
I will post full results when I get them by email.
Met plasma boy and that bipod and stock he made are both top bits of gear.

I went for my first visit to Hilltop today and took my little 22BR along for some fun. It was a good meeting with a good turn up of F open shooters. There sure is a depth of talent down here with a lot of good shooters. Good blokes too.

As you can see it was pretty tight going.
Not much between the field at any range.
With several Queens winners there it was a good test for how our gear and ourselves were going.
Shooters came from as far afield as Grafton and Singleton.

dee cee,
243win
6mm Dasher
22BR
Not sure think it was a 243
6mmBR
The 6mms were the predominate caliber in whatever form including a 6x6.5x47L.
A few 308's and a 6.5x55 swede.
The 22BR's went very well.
Mark Younie shot his 96 with a 22inch barrel.
Rod Davies came third driving his.
The breeze was just enough to keep you honest and would switch directions very quickly.
