Re: 2013 N-D 1000yd BR match schedule
Hey Dave
What is the schedule for these shoots specifically 23 june and the scc in July. I doubt I could make the full scc weekend but but maybe one of the days on the weekend. Is there room for another one or two shooters?

no problems, you and your companions would be most welcome to shoot at N-D for the 1000yd BR in june.
in case it is of interest, on the saturday prior, the club holds a 1000yd F Class target rifle event which some find very useful for sighting practise/socialising etc.
for the July SCR last year we were able to host 30 shooters with time for a practise period in the morning.
this year for the july SCC, we have the situation where unfortunately due to time/daylight constraints we can only fit in 8 details of 5 shooters per day over the saturday/sunday ( i hope !!) which increases our possible numbers to 40 competitors..
relatedly, at the moment we also have around 49 expressions of interest to shoot, which in the interest of being as fair as possible, has led to the first 40 nominated and 9 on a reserve list.
naturally, there will be fluctuations between then and now in numbers who may or may not attend.
those on the reserve list will be notified as vacancies arise.
i will update and explain further when we meet on the 23rd june.
if you need any additional info ( ie times, range location, procedures etc etc) feel free to ask on this forum or email me at dg1048@yahoo.com.au.
the club has devised a detailed 1000yd BR info pack which we provide and send to visitors if they require.
hope this makes some sense!!!!
PS
the above information and invite is extended to any interested parties who might be thinking about visiting our non elitist "cow paddock in the middle of nowhere" at N-D to experience the joys and challenges of 1000yd BR.
cheers

Re: 2013 N-D 1000yd BR match schedule
as an addendum, this sunday at N-D we are holding a casual/informal "try 1000yd BR" day.
the idea and motivation is to allow anyone who is interested or keen to experience LRBR, to be able to do so in a relaxed non competitive environment.
originally we were expecting only local shooters to be involved, but if others wish to attend, just let us know via pm or email.
cheers
