Long Range Open Day

Hi All

Well today we had an open day shooting LR at 500m to allow any local shooter to come along with their hunting, varmint or tactical rifle to shoot. The regular BR shooters helped get them on paper and coached them to shoot their sighters and then a couple of groups. For just over a week of advertising we had nine new shooters come and try the game so we are definitely going to do it again next month. The interest of a number of the shooters was such that they are looking to come and shoot our factory class next month too.

This is a great result for LR in general as more shooters get into the sport and based on the interest that we had today I think that the word will spread pretty quickly with more shooters coming to the next open day.

At the start of the day the new shooters were making comments like I hope just to hit the paper as this was their first time shooting at anywhere near this distance. By the end of the day all were very happy as they all had at least one full five shot group on paper with a couple of pretty good results for factory guns with factory ammo.
