Savage F class stock

A few years ago I brought myself a savage target rifle in 6mmbr, but it has a f class stock on it and it is hard to shoot off a bench as the rear bags ant wide enough and it sits to high. A short time later savage brought out the same rifle but with a more benchrest style stock with would suit what I want to do with it more.
Does anyone know if you can buy this stock by itself? And is anyone using this rifle?
Top shooting rifle for a off the shelf factory rifle!!!

When I had one I put the stock in the mill and took some timber off the heel and narrowed up the bottom of the stock. Rode the bags much better.

I was going to do that but thought it may wreak the stock and I really ddnt eant to do that. How did yours turn out?

Pretty good. Had to smooth it down and then clear two packed it. Came up good. People who hadn't seen how fat an arse it had from the factory never picked up that it had been altered.
A bit of lead up the rear helped too. Line I said rode the bags much better.

There is no doubt a number of stock makers in Australia who will do a decent stock for the savage. I tried to get one out of SSS in the states but after almost two years of BS I got my money back (with help). So I have one about to be posted from Wayne Young, from waynes gun stocks, it is an aluminium chassis and polymer stock so will be interesting to see how it shoots. Benefits are comes with all action screws, trigger guard, two-way adjustable butt pad etc and has a v block machined into it so I can fit the action up and shoot it. Mine is the LRPV action which is the same as the target action RBLP in my case and he has done another for my brother for his VLP so will be interesting to see how they go.

Will be interesting to see how that stock go's Stinkitup.
I am still waiting for my Savage LRP in .260 Remington to get here, as it will be used for occasional F Open and mainly "Varminting" up here, I am thinking of restocking it from the HS Precision that it comes in.
