Hall's Firearms Townsville Ironman 2012

Post by albow »

Hi All

As no doubt you would have seen from my posts from the past three days we have shot the Townsville annual Ironman weekend which was again sponsored and supported by Hall's Firearms here in Townsville.

The weekend consisted of the Fly, 550yd BR and 1000yd matches with a contingent of about a dozen shooters over the weekend who took on the conditions.

The overall winner of the HG class for the Ironman went to John McQuire with his new 6.5x47 lapua HG which not only shot very well, it also looks a million dollars too and the overall winner of LG was myself.

I would like to say congratulations to the winners of each of the events over the weekend and say thankyou to Dave Kelly of Hall's Firearms for his continued support and sponsorship of our Ironman weekend.

I would like to thank all the people involved in the Iron Man Shoot that was held in Townsville last weekend
it was great to catch up with the local shooters once again
and it was a very well run and organised shooting weekend
and special thanks to the sponsors -- Halls Firearms -- for there continued support of the event
it was the first outing for my new Heavy Gun -- 6.5 x 47 L -- and i was suprised at the way it shot
so much easier than the light Gun in the same calibre
thanks Townsville for a chance to try the new gun out

What a lovely range with spectacular backdrop. Wish we all had one of those just beyond the back fence.
