Hi All
The results are up from yesterday's match in Townsville. Mirage was a tad on the heavy side with the location of all sighter shots needing to be called back to the shooter from the butts for five of the six details. The last detail of the day was the only one where shooters could see their spotting disc. Overall a tough day where there were some very tricky winds that could move you 20+ inches in the blink of an eye.
TZ shot small group and group agg for LG with myself winning score in LG.
HG saw JR win for group and score aggs for the day along with small group.
Only match to go for the year in November which is the postal on the first weekend of the month.
Townsville 1000yd Match- 9 October 2011
Re: Townsville 1000yd Match- 9 October 2011
36 deg with a wind changing from SW thru NW to NE was always going to be tough, would have been better enjoying a cold ale and watching the BBQ at Bathurst quite frankly. I shot a 14 in group last target, aimed at 10 different points, put the first nine into 8 in, then guessed wrong on the last. Some days are diamonds, some are stones. Yesterday was a quarry.

Hi All , as Al & Jeff said , what a perfect day in paradise .. Mild winds and great cool predictable conditions .. Pity you southerners could not have made the trip up .. Small groups are just about guaranteed most matches and i hope there will be only slight bit of mirage for the November final in 2011..JR..Jeff Rogers
