Operator error gibbo, I still suck at shooting from the bags and dont know the cartridge and rifle yet.
I thought I would have had to give that rifle hold over at 300m like the 223.... guess I was mistaken.

I told you not to bother with that seppo garbage mick.
You should have gotten a CZ527, it would have worked out of the box
But then again what's the fun in that eh, all the remmie owners love buying all that after market gear to get their rifle to actually shoot

Re: Action
I am liking the sounds of this 7-08 mate.
See if you can score yourself an old BRNO ZKK action, I was looking at finding one to build a 9.3*62 on until I found the CZ550 new in the box.

Re: Favourite calibre for foxes
I put down 243 as it is the only one on that list I own, although I have the 204 :) I still have not hammered a fox, I have seen them out under light but have just nailed bunnies so far, I love the 204 carnage and can only imagine what those 75 grain sierra hollow points I loaded up will do to a cut...

Re: Help me decide!
Have you ever picked up a marlin or the CZ?
The CZ leaves the marlin for dead mate!
You just cant compare the thing.
I personally will never buy one of those clunky marlin rimfires, the rattly bloody magazine just does not cut it!

Re: Should I?
Here is an update, my honesty just cost me a free rifle! It turns out the blokes from the victorian gun shop sent up the rifle to Jansas, but never charged my card! I rang them today to find out why they had not charged my account, and if there was a problem with my card and they didnt send the rifl...

Re: .303 or 45/70 knock around pig stopper?
I like what you have done with that old 303 mate if you built it from parts!
Now get out there on a motorbike and chase some pigs down with it!
What type of front sight is on it? It does not look like any military sight I have seen for them.

Come on rinso, give it a rest
Mate I am a vortex convert but I want to go full euro on this one, it will just not be right of there was a seppo or asian scope on this rifle.... its got a hogsback stock, iron sights, a mauser action in a metric cartridge.

Re: Should I?
Now I have to do all the other stuff, like send off for a bloody PTA.
But I also get to chase up fun things like a scope, bore guide, cleaning rod, jags, brushes, brass, projectiles and some more powder
And the scope will have to be euro, I am thinking a Khales or meopta in something like a 2-7*32
