I went 3 from 3 rabbits at > 200m with my howa the other day (with the lilja barrel...) but it was good with the factory tube too, nice action, good stock (mines the heavy varmint laminate (not the thumbhole jobbie)

Would buy another in a heartbeat

I've got a stainless heavy barrel that came off mine that would fit your action, don't know what kind of life its got left in it, fired about 1,500 rounds of ammo, most of it lower velocity reloads (not pushing for speed) Its yours if you want to pay packing & postage, if nothing else oneday you...

I've purchased more than once, and I too will vouch for Jon's quick and professional service.

one thing that springs to mind is that if you go the savage, you can get heaps of aftermarket stocks for them.. might want to pay the extra $200 and get the savage and then buy another stock later? that way you can drop it in the plastic for a bit of wet weather work, or put the nice wood or whateve...

yeah, the CZ is a really nice bit of gear, I'd love to have one in 22LR, I'd really like a sako quad from what I've seen. Maybe one day

If you are looking at a totally new rifle, action and all AND you are buying a custom action, then all is well. BUT if you are going to buy a factory one and throw (sell) the barrel away.. t

the question has to be asked, why not go for a .204Ruger?

1. What are they? Its a 223rem necked down to .204 with the standard sholder angle etc. 2. How do I got about getting one built? Well, if it was me I'd be making a decision about what action etc, and getting in touch with shane, who did my 6-250 and the work and performance can't be faulted. His com...

I concur about the 'i love this gun' factor, but I got mine for its cheapness and so I'd not feel bad if it was rained on, scratched or beaten about in general use. Short ammo in my 925r does not feed 100% reliably either (it hits the face of the barrel above the chamber sometimes) The CZ 452, annie...

Re: Marlin 925R

Just a question for Archfile (or anyone that has some input). I've read your 925R review and was wondering if you can elaborate on the comment about the "stock could be stronger". Do you mean that it is fragile and in danger of breaking, or just that it flexes a lot? The answer to that in...

Any chance of a detailed review and some photos? Not much going round about them so far. I'd offer to do it for you, but something tells me that you'd be nuts to send it to me to play with  Actually, on a more serious note, if I have a rifle that i'd like to let someone have a go with and c...
