so in an equal weight rifle with equal weight projectiles in FACTORY rounds, is the 300 win mag about the same in recoil as the 300wsm? I know this is a little off topic, but I thought that the 300win mag was known for nasty recoil, the 300wsm Howa i used was fine even prone sighting it in.

I'm thinking that the 204 (or some similar variant) will be my next rifle, that or something big.

I'd be sure to spend some time reading mags and online to find out as much as possible before a purchase. I've got a 17hmr and a 22-250, my next would be a 30-06/300wsm or something, beware of the big kicking rifles, you might be able to take the kick just fine (i'm a big lad and its not too bad for...

It was windy as shit and that spot was so exposed i couldnt hold the rifle still in the wind ;-P and it was a kitten so not too large..

(oh, and too steep to use anything as a rest - just a shitty spot for a shot, and totally in the open so moving was time consuming)

I used a redding bushing die set with a .267 and .269 bushing (depending on brass) and a tapered expanding button.

BAM, one pass and you have 6mm 22-250 cases, body sized them all, trimed and finished mouth.. should be ready to rock and roll.

whats that bipod like? Will it take the weight and the recoil of my 6/250 when its done? The harris ones seem to get all the thumbs up, but no one ever seems to have lots to say about the other ones.

Looks like a nice setup, my cz 17hmr would look good on the bipod too.

always.

I take a pair of 28db nrr earplugs and keep a pair in my bag, and a couple of pairs of the strung together 26db nrr ones for other people that might be there for whatever reason.

I've taken to wearing a cammo shirt (just a cheapy) when prone for bunnies, it doesnt make much difference when prone, but does definatly help when stalking closer, i got within 90m of one that was looking towards me between each nibble over ther course of 15 minutes.. then i blew him to little bits...

Its all religion to me. Until someone gets a whole pile of blanks, and cuts them in two, numbers the pairs and makes some rail mounted rifles out of them, cleans one, and runs in the other.. we are all pissing in the wind. Silly debate, do it if you like, dont if you dont want to. But don't get all ...

It was me, I'm getting shane to barrel my howa 1500 stainless short action to 6\250 and shoot the 70gr blitz or the 70gr TNT at about 3,500fps which is about what i want. the 22-250 doesnt make use of that extra powder and room, i think the 243win is in the same boat, they are too big for the little...
