DrG, dont overlook the Kimber classic varmint as it comes with an air-guaged match grade barrel and trigger as standard, absolutely first class workmanship, stunning to look at and very high resale value. Check the website for more info. They are truely a semi-custom rig right from the box, you wont...

Holdenv8, My Howa is a stainless /synthetic and cost $690.00 (I think) from Cleavers in Brissie. Shot well straight from the box but eventually went off song as the softer synth. tend to do after a while. I pillar bedded it and it really improved my groups, then the trigger job almost made me look g...

Brady I have a s/s .223 howa and it is very accurate with a very smooth action from day 1. I, like Dave, had my trigger lightened by a guy who advertises on ebay @ $50.00 and he did a fabulous job, set at 1 lb but can be adjusted way lower than that when I start competing with it. Pm me if you want ...

Dave, don't be silly mate, keep the win .243 and just buy another rifle or you may be sorry later like I was. I also had a .243 win as an all-rounder, but it was a bit too savage on bunnies and foxes, excellent on pigs and goats and wild dogs, but not enough for deer, buffs or scrub bull's etc, so in...

Hi minivinne, yes a picatinny rail will solve your problem, shouldn't effect ejection as the howa's are very positive in that area. Let's know how you go. Hiwall is right about the rem bases i think, I read the same thing in a review somewhere. Saw a rail on ebay @$31.00 plus postage If I remember r...
