Lowndsie, I was just wondering if the people you saw shooting groups were actually 'warming' their barrells or just fouling a clean barrell before the scoring group ? By firing your group shots quickly you have probably had the better results by beating the wind condition before it changed your poin...

I only ever check the weight on the scales when setting up the powder measure if changing to a different powder or caliber. I use a Redding with a scale on the adjustment knob. I have tried both the Redding and an RCBS powder thrower for consistency by throwing 10 loads, weighing each one and taking...

I shot one of them big 'long tailed rabbits' with a 140 gn AMax in the 6.5/284 just to see how they performed. Chest shot at about 300yds left an exit hole you could put your fist in. They kill like lightning !!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

For the tight necked PPS's I am with Steven and use Wilson dies. I also use a Redding type S die as a 'bump' die, a little different to a bump die, it can deprime and uses a bush the same as the Wilson to size the neck only, I only use it to bump the shoulder when the cases get tight to chamber.
