Re: .22Hornet
Hi Bruce, are you using a Lee Collet die ? best thing you could do for getting the most case life from your brass. "Normal" dies don't crush the cases, they just overwork them by sizing the necks down excessively then opening them up again with the expander button. I used the Win bulk 40gr...

Re: I got mail !
No pics yet, waiting for the return of my camera...stock will be a DIY custom from a Richards laminated blank I have had waiting for the barrelled action to come back. It has a switch barrel in 30/221 and Shane Clancy made an action wrench to suit. I just need to get some 30/221 dies and finish maki...

Re: Tikka LSA 55
HI Rito, 22-250 is not very compatible - the bolt face diameter is bigger than .222 and your magazine wouldn't fit the bigger cases. It could be done by having a gunsmith open up the bolt face , and buying a new mag to suit 22-250. However new mags are rare if you can find them at all. If the origin...

Hey Bec, don't sell yourself short, saying you're a rank amateur ! You might be relatively new to the sport but your posts and results read like you have plenty of ability and have really applied yourself to learning all the nitty gritty stuff of competition shooting.

Re: Lee zip trim
I don't have a Zip Trim but do have the cutter/case length gauge. Works fine, nothing wrong with Lee gear as long as you pick the good bits and leave the not so good bits

Hey Dangaff, the 17Mink is a bit more than just necking down from .22 to .17. The case is shortened a fair bit too. There might be a bit more work involved than you think. I reckon it'd be worth it though

SNIP Only problem is this may(will  ) increase my shooting considerably. of course it will !! and when you happen on an accurate load you could get addicted to that too... SNIP I hate balance scales but will keep them in reserve. I don't like the Lee scales at all but have always had RCBS 5-0-...

Re: New reloading kit yay!
Is the the little hand held lee case trimmer any good? They are fine for starting out with and a fair bit beyond that. When your pocket recovers from the purchase of the kit, by all means get a bench mounted trimmer. I like my Wilson trimmer because it can also use a primer pocket reamer to remove ...
