Re: Round nose 30 cal bullet's in Tikka T3's
Yeah I know the feeling, I moved down to my wife's family farm almost 6 years ago now and work for the old man which let's just say has it's moments at times. have been getting a few pigs of late, when state forest is cutting down the pines to the south and the bastards know where your sheep feeders...

Re: Round nose 30 cal bullet's in Tikka T3's
Yeah I know I have three 8 twist 223, 6.5x55 which is the slickest of the 3 and a 30/06. my usual method is bolt closed on empty chamber and de cocked at the same time. It's a pity that the mag length is too short in the 223 and long cal's needing to seat projectiles so deep to fit in the magazine. ...

Re: The .260Rem Again
Might be a bit slow BUT is it accurate????? I have a 6.5x55 Tikka t3 lite shooting 147 ELD's at a leisurely 2550 fps but it will put them into one hole and that was in the standard plastic stock. I have shot a group of less than 2.5" at 500 yards with that until the barrel got really hot  ...

Round nose 30 cal bullet's in Tikka T3's
Hi all haven't posted a lot lately but have a question for the brains trust. Any of you out there who have 30 cal Tikka's have you loaded up any round nose or flat point bullet's, wondering on if they have any feeding issue's.????

Re: Gemfields OPM
Excellent mate I will look for it whilst running around with score cards and such stuff. Going to have a crack at F Open with my tikka 6.5x55, it's only a lite but I have a nice mild load with 147 ELD's that shoot really well. Shot a 55.5 at 500 and 55.3 at 600 in the old plastic stock but now have ...

Re: Weight sorting brass
I also weight batch the finished loaded round call me crazy but it got a lot better for elevation issues out to 900 yards to the amount of .5 MOA for elevation. That is out of a Omark Action, 12 twist pac nor barrel.

Re: been to the range.
Yeah I'm very lucky to have in my club two guys who both went to Canada and have always been willing to share. Brett Bond was one of the coach's who went to Canada and is also a bloody good armourer and has done all my work. I have been scratchy and out of practice, did a lot better this week too, I...

Re: been to the range.
Yeah I'm still a bit scratchy from 2 and a half months of no shooting due to snapping my left distal bicep tendon back in Feb. Got selected for our Blue Mountains DRA F Std team a few weeks back and the Country F Std team which did wonders for my confidence in my gear. wasn't sure if it was me, the ...

Re: been to the range.
Still a bloody good hit none the less.
We shot 500 yards could only manage a pair of 56.2 and 56.3
Did shoot a practice stage with my t3 lite 6.5x55 in almost perfect conditions. 147 eld-m first 5 in the x ring 6th to the 6 ring then fell a part with a really hot barrel
