Re: Armed Shotgun
If you are looking for a cheap shotty, I reckon it is really hard to go past the Harrinton and Richardson. Single barrel, hammer gun. $250.00 brand new! That is really cheap. Where are they made? Supposedly in the USofA. http://www.hr1871.com/Firearms/Shotguns/pardnerYouth.asp" onclick="w...

Re: What is your favourite cartridge and why?
Sentimentally, it would have to be the .30-06. It was the first rifle I ever fired (thanks to my big brother for that scope eye!) and the rifle used to belong to my father, it now sits in my safe. However, more recently, I have to admit to falling for the .204. What a cartridge/calibre. It truly is ...

I will ...

Compressed loads - 204R
In the ADI book, they say that max load for a 32g pill and 2206H powder is 27.7 grains. It also says that this is a compressed load. What does compressed mean?

Re: Need advice on new bunny blatter
Well I got all excited as it was my first rifle, and bought it for a bout $850.00
I have since seen one advertised in Brisbane for $650.00 brand new. I was devastated.

If you want something that is decent quality, it is really hard to go past the Savage BTVS. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s281/lukeorreal/Savage%20BTVSS%2017HMR/btvss17hmrday003.jpg http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s281/lukeorreal/Savage%20BTVSS%2017HMR/btvss17hmrday004.jpg http://i155.photob...

Re: OAL too long for the magazine?! (help)
It was the Bundaberg branch.
I have had a few bad experiences at the range so far, mainly to do with questionable charecters.
Still, I am makeing the effort to get out there and enjoy. There are some top blokes out there as well.

Re: OAL too long for the magazine?! (help)
Not sure mate. RO just walked over, said "You know you can't do that", he removed his bolt, emptied the magazine and sat while the rest of the line completed there shots.
Why do I keep getting the feeling that the local SSAA range is nothing more then a bit of a joke?

What a great idea!
Would be an advantage at Benchrest comps. I was watching a bloke on the weekend that wasnt thinking about what he was going and filled his mag and started to feed the rounds from the magazine. No score for him!
Will look into these for sure.

A flat pack will be exactly that, flat. There will be nothing welded together.
Not sure on any pricing but will know soon. Sending everything to the laser cutter now.

Basic Front Rest Design
I have spent the last few hours playing around with a basic front rest design. It is adjustable in height from 120mm to about 250mm. I have modelled it up in Solidworks and will place an order with the lasercutters later on in the afternoon. I am also making a jig up to ensure that everything will b...
