Re: Treevort,DrG and Ogre
I thought she was a 1:10 twist
She shoots heavier slugs well, Speer 85 SPBT's and Rem 100 factory stuff
She just likes the 70 TNTs better and the skippies she dropped on permit at old mates turf farm hated her for that liking

Re: FX-Monsoon semi auto
Ok fair enough re which one is flatter, the .22LR has it over the AG's...now what I'd like to know is are these PCP's that accurate out of the box, is it just a matter of finding the best pellet ? PCP's would be gentle on scopes compared to a springer ? I'd better go and search through some AG post...

Re: FX-Monsoon semi auto
Sam they can be a bit spendy to buy- but you get what you pay for and the performance is something to be marvelled at. Lewis is your man to talk to about PCP's He seems to have a selection of S/H ones that are about the price of a new gas ram single shot- all that multishot PCP goodness for the pric...

Re: FX-Monsoon semi auto
Hi guys, I highly doubt your mate is shooting crows out to 100 yards. Sorry Ray, im not trying to sound like a prick but i think your mate is telling you porky pies... i just find that very hard to believe. Its difficult enough to hit a crow at 100yds with a .22LR let alone a hi powered slug gun......

Re: 223 goat loads
brother played with the 53 grain barnes in a 222 when they first came out 10-15 years ago or longer- its been about that long since my brother was an active shooter- well pre port arthur time Yes they worked and worked well- but gave no better end results (dead goats or small pigs) than the 60 sp ho...

Re: Building a new 1000m Range
Will you be catering for pistol shooters as well?? might give the club another avenue of competition and/or range approval met-sil pistol can be shot on the rifle range but a 100m ampitheater can accomidate heaps of pistol disciplines there is or used to be online from NSW a range outline overlay fo...

Re: 223 goat loads
a lot of the 60 grain projectiles are flat base and will stabalise in a standard 1:12 twist- the 60 grain Hornadys ( both HP and SP) are like this and have a higher BC than the 60 V-Max so hold their speed and therefore their energy out further. for factory ammo any of the 64 grain factory loads wor...

Re: First ever ladder test
Trevort, it sure looks as if that 38 to 39 grain area is looking good even though it is showing a little weather report. Doidge, a ladder test is an admission of those that use them that compensation does exist. For those that do not believe in compensation, the linear theory as you described is us...
