Re: help with load development

you got a lot of good advice already. To try again with your fireformed cases trim them to the same length. Excuse me if you mentioned somewhere and I didn't read it, what are you doing with your rifle. Is it for hunting? The 243 with 95 gn pills is a medium game round. If you are hunting then you ...

Re: help with load development

thanks for the advise guys I'll see if I can repeat these results from groups 2 and 5 with some brass that I have already used, and then see what just above and below these weights will do. I did it at SSAA Belmont, I believe they have some rests I can hire the bipod wasn't held down while shooting ...

Dents in shoulder

I have just run a batch of once fired 243 cases through the full length resizing die and it looks like I was a bit too happy with the redding wax lube. It appears some excess lube was deposited in the die and has indented the shoulder of the case as it came up. Attached are some images of what has h...

i got the fullfield II 4.5-14 on a rem 700 .243 and I love it, the scope has been great.
I also went for the spotting scope which is good at 100, but I'd prefer a larger magnification on a spotting scope for looking at holes that are further.

I'd be real interested in competing in a 500m fly (only just read the rules to find out what it is) - never attempted to shoot that far but would definitely give it a go.

I bought a ProShot 1 piece and a basic bore guide. just a question though, the little stick pointing out the side of bore guide - is it meant to slot down into the gap where the bolt handle also goes? I was wandering what it was for, but the bore guide I bought is too long for that, does that really...

That's a good link Rinso, I learnt a bit from there.
I'll be looking around for a good one piece rod this week.

It's a kit one.
If I can get an extension piece that'd suit for now, but I'll probably get a one piece down the track.
