Re: My Baby
Cheers Andrew - I'm looking forward to it already!! 20 Prac is sighted in again. Was shooting high when I took it out with James the other day (a tad frustrating) but is back 'on song' again now.

Re: Clancy Built Surgeon Tac Rifle.
All of a sudden, I think I need a 'tactical' gun. Everyone should have at least one I reckon. Very nice. A question on seating depth for the tech heads: 1. If I jamb a projectile into the lands or just kiss the lands, will the pressure be higher (for same load) than if I loaded 20 - 30 thou off??? 2...

Re: URGENT - 2206H - different to last batch????
Thanks Rumpus - good to know there's a common theme! Ie: less dense powder.
Are you going to retune your loads? I'd be interested to know if loads with the 'new' powder and much different to loads with the old powder...

Re: Websites for factory ammo BC and trajectories
Chuckhawks.com has a lot of tables, etc on trajectory and ballistics and all that stuff. A lot of it is for free but you could also sign up for a month which costs about $8 or something and check out other stuff to your hearts content! Sierra, Hornady, Nosler, etc all have SD and BC info for their p...

Re: URGENT - 2206H - different to last batch????
Thanks for all the feedback fellas. Yep, I was filling the cases exactly the same way as last time. And you're right - I'm going to have to do some more load testing - turns out my 20 Prac was shooting waaaay high for some reason. I've just bought a second hand Nikon Monarch 6-24x50 so maybe it was ...

URGENT - 2206H - different to last batch????
Good Evening! I need some urgent advice please! Off for a shoot tomorrow with my 20 Practical and am loading some new rounds with the same load that I always use, but the cases look like they're much fuller than what they were with the last batch. The powder is part of a new batch so maybe it's volu...

Re: Thanks guys
Hmmm, I haven't really looked but can you get 20 cal Nosler shots?? I imagine these would be fairly economical. Out of interest, I just bought a 250 box of 20 cal 32 grain V-maxes from Shooters Wholesale Warehouse for about $83. Works out around 33c per projectile which isn't too bad. Especially whe...

Re: Do think Shane ever gets fed up ....
Trev Not sure what powder you're using but I started out with BM1 in my 20 Prac and had pressure signs very early on. 22.5 was toooo hot for the 40 grainers. Ended up with about 21.7 being the powder but very slow with the 40 grainers. Now using 2206H with 32 grainers and about 26 (?) grains from me...

Nice http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z63/aussieferalhunters/smileys/forums/c_rockon.gif What action and stock are you using? Yea, nice indeed and what scope is that?? I have a Nikon Monarch 6-24x50 currently on mine but I think it's probably too big. The 4.5-14x42 Fullfield II was just a bit und...

Re: Internet sites to wildcat reloading
Check out www.6mmbr.com and go to the 'rifle of the week' section or whatever its called. I have a 20 Practical and I think that was the rifle from Week 61 - check it out as it talks about how to form the brass which is actually quite easy. there's many others good articles there including some stuf...

Miroku Mk 10 vs Mk70
I realise this website is not called AusShotgun, but can anyone tell me the pros of the Miroku Mk 10 versus the Mk 70??
I am after a shottie for field / sporting use but will use it for the odd clay session. Your thoughts? I am hoping Con can contribute!
Thanks

Re: another dead nikko....
This is not meant to offend, but after 7 scopes going wrong I would also seriously start to question something else other than the scopes... Even if they are only Nikkos...
