Re: Sightron SIII 10-50x60
I've got the 8-32x currently, and was also looking for more mag. Other than the Nightforce I was also waiting to see the new competition Vortex but now might have to consider another Sightron. In the daylight, I'd struggle to tell the difference between it and my 8-32x56 NXS.

Re: What to build???
The bigger question here is why is a Stiller importer building ANYTHING on a Mod 70 action?!

Re: What to build???
If you don't want to change the boltface, I'd go a 204Ruger or Tac20, I reckon.
Unless you fancy a 300 BO for fun?

Re: knife maker
Depends what kind of knife you're after, IMHO, as most makers have preferred styles and their own specialty.....I have knives by Will Morrison and Kevin Slattery, and like them both for different reasons.

RL10x or 2206H are your friend. 8208 is supposedly good too, especially with the lighter pills.

Haven't seen him on here in an age, but I couldn't let his birthday go uncelebrated, so I've been abusing him over on Facebook!!

Re: You arent always right
I tried the ultrasonic thing, gave up and bought a rotary wet tumbler - same outcome, hundreds of cases at a time, and no acid to worry about.
I deprime first (and have a decapping die permanently mounted in the T7) and have lovely clean primer pockets too.

New addition 308
46gn of 2208 with a 155gn pill is almost a standard for the 308...and I run that exact load in a tight match chamber, so surprised you are getting pressure signs. You haven't got the pills either jammed into the lands, or so far back in the case you're reducing case capacity have you? Either will in...

Re: Anybody have the Berger Reloading manual?
Mick, pg 11 of the alliant book suggests RL 17's principal use is in short magnum loads. Maybe this is why it has bugger all listings for your cartridge. It's what it was designed for, but I have had good results with it in my 243AI, 7mm-08, 9.3x62, 375H&H and 416 Ruger as well as my 300WSM! :m...

Re: Useless information
Well there ya go, I thought that the Zmax would be closer to the Vmax rather than the Amax :?: I think they can be either...the size gave me a hint. Hornady don't do a .308" 168gn VMAX, and they don't do a 6mm 58gn AMAX, nor .204" 32gn and 40gn AMAX's either....so I thought they probably ...

Re: Useless information
Looked at them and JeffK's place the other day. We both suspect they are the same as the 168Amax but with a green tip. No zombies around to test whether the red or green tip is better. Actually, I sectioned one of each....they are identical!! Got 5 x 5 loaded with RL17 for the 300WSM....j...
