I also noticed that ADI powder shipped all the way to the USA and sold by Hogdon is HALF THE PRICE we pay for it here from what I saw on the Sinclair’s web site!
It would be nice if the local suppliers and manufacturers at least bought you dinner or flowers before they **** you

The price of US goods in Australia
Hi all, I know it’s been said many times but holy crap! How can people justify the prices they charge for a product they import? I just had a look at the Competition Shooting Stuff stock for a Barnard, $850 USD, local importer in WA, $1800.00 AUD. Now I know there are import fees and shipping but if...

Re: Tikka T3 308
I have a left hand T3 with a long throated 308 target barrel on it. the loaded rounds were WAY too long to fit in the medium mags that suit a .308. All you need is a file to file back the bolt stop and a 30-06 style mag.. works very well

Re: Polenta as tumbling media
I have used white rice with a dash of non-ammonia based metal polish in the past .. it works well and is big enough to not get stuck in flash holes

45 cal long range cast projectiles
Hi everyone, Im looking for some 450 - 500 grain lead projectiles for a 45-90 High wall rifle. Im after a projectile thats shaped for the "Creedmore" style long range shooting .. that is, a pointed bullet, not the usual flat nose 45's available for lever actions. Coated would be good too (...

another option
Another option worth trying is tungsten disulphide. Its in the same chemical family as molybdenum disulphide .. but has a higher temperature rating and pressure yield point .. Aprox 300 K psi where Moly has around 250k psi. Tungsten disulphide also does not " build up on itself " so you do...

More thoughts
I buy MOST of my gear form the US , Sinclair's , Gaffs, lock stock and barrel .. etc . Most of the time its faster and cheaper to buy directly from them rather than being dicked around for months by a local supplier that doesn't have stock / doesn't want to carry specialised items / tries to sell yo...
