Re: myra/sprinter 20 cal extruder barrels .
I had Myra 20 Cal extruder rifle N#1. It was very accurate with Rws High Velocity hollow points and it was very impressive in the paddock. It was very effective on hares and foxes, you could see the difference in performance over a normal 22 rimfire shooting the same ammo. Good luck, Regards Charlie

Re: 224 weatherby magnum
So once again Roy was the leader of the pack and the others followed. Keep smiling, Charlie. And surpassed. Great being a pioneer, being first does not mean you are always the greatest. I know KJD is always trying to improve the forum. One way he could is add a "Cheap and Cheerfull" secti...

Re: 224 weatherby magnum
Another thing that I find amusing is that the 224WBY's only competition when it was released was the 220 Swift.Unfortunately you had to get one in the 2nd most overated clunker ever made,- the Pre 64 Winchester. It was several years before you could get something with similar performance to the 224 ...

Re: 224 weatherby magnum
A few thoughts, I am only guessing but the difference between using a 240 WBY and a 243 is, that you are only ever going to need one shot to do the job with the 240 not miltiple shots like a 243, thus saving the need to carry and buy lots of brass. Better still you can get a 257 WBY,the most impress...

Re: 224 weatherby magnum
I have had 2, 224 Weatherby magnums in Mark V Varmintmaster rifles. Probably one of the best handling and balanced rifles ever made, shame they are no longer produced. The 224 Weatherby Magnum cartridge gives velocity a little less than a 22-250 but both the rifles I had would easily shoot 5 shot gro...

Re: .30-378
Long story short, after you have used a 30-378 you will get a new perspective about what down range performance in the paddock is all about. Also, I have always seen the 25 06 and better still the 257 Weatherby magnum as a lot more impressive hunting cartridges with noticeably more knock down as comp...

Re: .30-378
I think you should get the 30-378.
It is the most impressive cartridge i have ever used in the paddock.
I have had 243,25-06's etc and for knock down power there is a really big difference even on the critters you have mentioned.
Good luck,
Charlie

Re: Hornet loads wanted
G'day Ron,
Have a chat to Mark "Hornet Boy" at Silverdale. He usually works on the weekends.
He is a tragic Hornet Loony.
You can reload at the range as well.
Good Luck,
Charlie

JSB Pellet Test
Lewis was kind enough to send me down some JSB Pellets to test in the FWB 600 he serviced recently. The weather has been against me so far from very humid with water condensation clouds coming out of the barrel stopping testing and then snow falls not far away making it umm pretty cold to shoot. Wh...

Re: FWB 600 sights and Pellet test
Nice shooting Charlie Thankyou Lewis, Shooting little groups is always fun, never easy and only possible when you have a little luck, your equipment, especially the rifle is working at its BEST . In this case you tuned the rifle and a little luck took care of the rest. This is the smallest 5 shot grou...

FWB 600 sights and Pellet test
I headed back to the 10 metre indoor range to see what the FWB would shoot like with varying projectile weights after the Beeman tune up and also try different Factory Target sight Heights. Firstly I fitted a 10mm spacer under the rear sight and the factory higher front sight with 4.2 mm insert,I t...

Faster than a speeding bullet = Beeman Australia
I had to get a Match Air rifle serviced and after asking around Lewis at Beeman Australia http://www.beeman.com.au was suggested as the ONLY place to go and came with the highest possible recommendations. Well after taking less than 1 day to check over, fully service the rifle and send it on its ret...
