Re: AFF .223 Brass
It's not a lot of extra force to deprime them (as long as they are single flash hole) but it's best to remove the crimp before repriming them. RCBS primer pocket swaging dies do it best but cost about $80

Re: Lapua Brass
Rumpus, if you read AI's post before yours you would think yes ! Most target shooters favour Lapua brass for it's long life and consistency.

Re: MAB .224, 8"twist
It was a wrongly identified batch of stainless steel from the overseas supplier that was at fault - not anything done by MAB. You can read up on the facts via the NRAA websites. As long as you can determine 100% that it's not from that batch, you can use it with confidence. If you can't be sure, the...

Downside for hunting - brass is $157/100. Lapua the only option at the moment unless you can form your own cases from something else..

A nice Tuna
Last Friday I hooked this Longtail Tuna when I was nearly back at the boat ramp, after a couple of hours of unproductive trolling. Having pretty much given up hope of catching anything, I was pretty surprised when my deep diver got nailed by something that took about half the 15kg line off my TLD 15...

Re: Which rifles should I buy?
Very tempting! There's also the Omark target silhouette. What's the difference between the two? Is it the ability to use different length loads? - bec HI Bec, the difference is the action and stock..you won't find many Omarks in original form, most have been restocked and rebarreled ! They don't ha...

Re: Which rifles should I buy?
There's a decent Omark .308 for sale on AHN http://www.australianhunting.net/index.php?topic=52661.0 it's an F Std rifle, ready to go, just needs a scope\rings. Built by a gunsmith who has a very good reputation for target rifles, and cheap enough that if you don't like target shooting, it'd be easy...
