Re: "short range" pellet for Theoben Rapid?

Even if you need to fit a new spring, piston seal and breech seal you still cannot go wrong at that price!

Re: Check out my mate Ted in Wisconsin's latest video.

Harry, is that a comercially available gun or has it been customised by a third party?
Thanks,
Dennis.

Anschutz promotional video (of sorts).

Have a look at this site http://accurateshooter.com/bulletin.html for some interesting Anschutz target air rifles (amongst other things).
Warning! Beware of distractions!

Re: Muzzle weight, Air stripper, silencer.???

These items also need to be attatched to the rifle as standard equipment and not be capable of being removed. If it unscrews, it's a silencer under the regs in NSW. If it is fixed to the barrel by some permanent means by the manufacrurer then that's OK. Things loke "barrel tuners" that mod...

Re: BSA Hornet versus rimfires at 50 metre benchrest group shoot

Harry, you have done it again! You have also proved my theory that an air rifle can be just as accurate as a rimfire under reasonable conditions. A few years ago I would have doubted that an air rifle would be remotely capable of this sort of accuracy at that range but since I started hanging around...

Re: Stoeger X5 & X20 review.??

Well, we have "spell-check" and "grammar-check" built into most word processing programs but to rely soely on either to do a decent job seems to be either a waste of time or too expensive. Such is progress. In a few years I doubt that children will be able to read the old-fassion...

Re: Stoeger X5 & X20 review.??

On a slightly diferent subject, in one of the recent OZ shooting mags there were two articles relating to handloads and chronographs. Both articles were illustrated. Both articles featured a popular 'chrono. Both articles refered to centrefire rifles but the guns in the illustrations were both air r...

Re: Ben Taylors Smooth twist barrel, More news

Thank you, gentlemen. I had never considered carded flece as being strong enough to act as a collecting medium but if there is enough depth.......what a good idea. There is an old polyester-filled doona thing around here somewhere and some very heavy wall plastic pipe to put it in so I might give th...

Re: The difference is MYNA

And the bird we always called the "Spur-winged Plover" is now the "Masked Lapwing". I think the clever people even changed the technical name for our Wedge-tailed eagle! Why do they have to do these things to us old buggers? On a slightly diferent note, when I was much younger an...

Re: Ben Taylors Smooth twist barrel, More news

Dear Harry and others. Would I be corect in thinking that to do this test properly it would be best if the pellets were inserted into the barrel in the usual manner and then forced through the barrel in a gentle manner using either compressed air (or some other fluid) at a lower pressure than would ...

Re: The difference is MYNA

How the heck do you confuse the two birds? One answer could be shooting in very low light conditions when the birds are settled for the night? One race is muddy brown (Indian), the other is grey (Noisy). Yes, they both have yellow beaks, yellow legs and yellow eye patches. The Indian Myna also has d...

Well Harry, if you ever end up in Port Macquarie and have nothing to do for a couple of hours, I would be happy to let you try mine at the local range.
