Re: Fox Gun
A mate of mine has bowled over foxes with a HW80 at 15M
I reckon an 80 or a Diana 350 would work with a headshot out to 20-25M
I know years ago in a UK Airgunner magazine a Theoben Eliminator in .22 was being used out to 30M on foxes.

Good job Harry,
Hornets always did have great barrels, in the UK FT bods were buying .177 Hornets just for their barrels.

Your a man after my on heart with the retro-fit O Ring piston head.
I try to make mine as short on the nose end as possible to eek out every last drop of swept volume.
Cracking wee guns the older Gecado / Diana's

Re: HW50S .177 Maccari tune
That'll come up nicely when the seal beds in to around 10 fpe.
Im always amazed why Weihrauch don't spend the few dollars extra on a top hat, a good fitting spring guide, nicely finishes spring ends & a decent lube.
Still keeps the likes of myself & Lewis busy

Re: Todayโs springers
Ray, You shoot some lovely springers & you are right if people take the time to shoot a springer properly they are every bit the equal to a PCP. Chrono a well tuned springer & its velocity spread will be tiny compared to that of an unregulated pcp & the match of a regulated one. My lates...

Springer Gas Ram & PCP tuning, servicing & repair in NSW
Hi All, I had to re-register recently after a hiatus during which I forgot my password (I was mattw975 on here). I am airgunsmithing for Wilson Target Arms, NSW 2251 & have done since 2014. As a time served toolmaker & graduate mechanical engineer I am servicing & tuning all types of Spr...
