Re: Diesel - Which do you use which do you refuse to?
Kickinback here is a picture of the green diesel I mentioned in a post in another thread last time everyone discussed diesel. It is not the most accurate representation of its colour but you get the idea(ie it is definitely not yellow). This has been the best diesel both power and economy(noticeabl...

Re: LGS rant
I was talking to a shop owner yesterday about powder and he was also frustrated at Winchester. He is looking to change powders he stocks to stuff he can get from nioa as for some reason he can get a small quantities trucked down from Qld. Now how is it possible that a truck can come from Qld with p...

New 204 load... Projectile options?
PM me your address and I'll send down some 40gn vmax if you like. I also used to run the 39SBK but found supply unreliable and also wasn't thrilled with terminal performance. Sometimes they wound blow stuff apart, other times I'd be getting run offs and finding game with what appeared to be very min...

Re: LGS rant
I'm confused. Isn't that around 123458867 grains (depending on calibre etc) or vaguely 2.5million rounds worth... I doubt there would be a typical gun shop in Australia that would sell that much powder, or rounds, in a year....Let alone have somewhere secure, legal, and insured to hold that much (i...

Its still a transport issue I believe....... that mixed with the demand means its hard to get While at the LGS at Cessnock the yesterday I was informed that Tamworth Firearms has an 8 tonne order coming into them but did not have a definite arrival date. Was also informed that with the new dangerou...

Re: Two new family members.
Finally got around to getting a photo of my two new Tikka T3 hunters. Both .223 and topped with Redfields - a 3x9/50 and a 4x12/40. Hope to get out soon to test out the Tikka accuracy and zero in. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/17/gu7anese.jpg They look very nice......... .......I reckon Knackers ...

Re: 308/Scope combo
One thing is, I reckon you wont be getting a "point blank" out to 500 yards with a 308Win, I don't know the trajectory off by heart, but reckon point blank would be somewhere between 200 and 300 yds. I "think" he meant min and max range. Point blank being used in the sense of &q...

Marcus. I think you missed the bit about it being a .243 Win. It's almost a sin to ruin a sako by CHAMBERING it in such a mediocre over rated cartridge. I'll get if for you this time Grimo............Damned auto correct.     You should know better than to not check you p...
