Re: BSA R10, Scorpion, Ripley XL9 @55 yards.

I have an R10 in .177, it shoots superb with JSB Exacts. I only shoot groups with it late evening or early morning when there's no wind. If you find the trigger on the Scorpion has some creep ( which mine did ), i recommend you look at a video by Darrin who runs XTX air. I followed his instructional...

Re: my new arrival

I reckon with one of the new Hawke scopes with the .22 subs dedicated reticle out to 200 yards, that set up would be great for sniping the coneys way beyond normal distances. They would never know where the shots were coming from. I'm thinking of investing in one and putting it on the P94s Sako Varm...

BSA custom oversized bolt handle.

I just thought I'd remind you guys of the custom bolt I purchased a while back for the Scorpion.

It was about $60.00 posted if I remember rightly off EBay UK.

Easy to swap and makes a big difference to the way the rifle feels on cocking.

Re: BSA R10, Scorpion, Ripley XL9 @55 yards.

The Ripley is in another league, bespoke with a waiting list as long as your arm, a rifle with the best 2 stage trigger I have ever used. The action is like a hot knife through butter. For practicallity, has to be the R10, lighter, shorter and more pointable. I shoot the Ripper off the bench or stick...

BSA R10, Scorpion, Ripley XL9 @55 yards.

I don't get to shoot the air rifles much anymore, too busy foxing with the small centrefires. It was such a lovely evening I thought I'd give them a blast. 55 yards, 10 shot groups. Not exceptional I know, but gee it was good fun. Rifles are, (L-R) BSA scorpion, BSA R10, Ripley Rifles XL9. .22 cal, ...

Re: RAW

Potters had the bench rest model, over 3 grand for a rifle that's built for a discipline that's not even popular here, not sure about the thinking behind it, importing it I mean, not the build. They may still have it, not sure. I've seen and shot them while with Michael Tawn, the build quality is ou...

Re: BSA

Because MDE are the industry standard, and buying from the UK is actually cheaper than buying local. Local. What is local to you ? Like a local shop, pub, school ? To me that's just down the road, where can I buy a hose and gauge assembly for a 300 / 232 bar din valve local. Would Aus post have to b...

Re: BSA

Michael Tawn airgun supplies, midland diving or Best fittings, all in the UK. I always buy from Michael Tawn, good price and quick service, he also has Sportsmatch mounts to suit if your looking for the best. Not sure about prices in NSW for Faber 300 bar tanks, here in Melbourne, Dive gear Australi...

Here's a comparison, you can see the slight rise in velocity with the Scorpion.

Re: What to buy

19ftlbs in .177, 28 in .22 using heavies.
If you want pics, let me know.

Is a regulated rifle what you want ?

The scorpion is a lovely gun but no reg.
