Re: Testing 20-60 yds and foxy

Here's my S410 by the way.

Notice the tin of dry lube, no reticle on the tin.

Maybe the manufacturers got to hear we're using it to lube our pellets (LOL)

Re: Testing 20-60 yds and foxy

If I was on the jury it's a no brainer.

If you have the elevation in the scope use it.

I'd be proud of those 60 yard groups myself.

It shoots like a BSA.

Re: Testing 20-60 yds and foxy

Ahhh, but WD40 with PTFE has a duplex reticle on the tin, you can't top that.

It'll do everything too.

I don't use it to clean the barrel, just plain old WD40 for that, and only dampen the patch with it.

Re: Testing 20-60 yds and foxy

WD40 with PTFE. it's a dry lube, available from Bunnings. Some people don't believe in washing and lubing their pellets, that's fine, do whatever your happy with. I wash the pellets first in a plastic sieve and a little detergent, I then rinse and dry thoroughly. Once dry, I put the pellets into a p...

Re: Testing 20-60 yds

I floated mine as well, I opened up the air tube channel. I have supported the action just in front of the trigger block. Torque, not sure, as long as its nipped up I leave it, we don't have recoil to contend with so that's a bonus. Mine shooters well with JSB's too. Cal is .177.

Re: Testing 20-60 yds

I build up the cheek rest on mine by folding a cloth until I have enough height, I then drape it over the cheek piece and finish off with a piece of suede. It feels a lot nicer than bare walnut on your face, try it, you'll be amazed how a consistent cheek weld will tighten up your groups, your face ...

Re: HW 55 T

Love the tyrolean stock, reminds me of a violin.

Venom used to offer it on some of their rifles, the HW80 springs to mind.

Re: The HW97K getting ready for FT

Whats the maximum magnification range on that scope ? You need really high mag for the sight picture to snap in and out of focus, and to give you precise range finding. Unless you bracket which is a pain in the bum. I didn't see a scope with less than 32 mag when i was last in the UK attending an FT...

Re: I need a new gun safe

A mate of mine that researches the best price to the enth degree, got a really good deal through the gun emporium near Tullamarine.

It's also a Spika, 12 gun I think.

I think you would have a job to improve on that.

Great shooting.

BSA R10 Cinnamon Laminate. Gimme gimme gimme.

How nice are these special edition R10's.

The patern in the wood layers is stunning in my opinion.
