Re: 2207 in the 17 remington
Thanks for the input. I'm not too worried about speeds at the moment. I only asked the question due to having heaps of 2207 available. I might load some up a grain lower than Big G and work up from there. I originally purchased the rifle to convert it to fireball but if i can load it down there's no...

Re: 2207 in the 17 remington
No problem. I'm sure there were a few that were using it but I could be wrong.
I already have a few loaded up with 2208 and 8208 to run the barrel in but was hoping I could possibly use 2207 as I have a heap of it.
Thanks

2207 in the 17 remington
Is anyone using ar2207 in the 17 rem?
It isn't listed in the reloading manuals but a few people have said that it has been used with good success.
The loads were somewhere around 18-20gr from memory.
Cheers

Re: Picked up this today
Zeiss are a bit out of my price range unfortunately.
Any thought's on the meopta meopro scope's?
They seem to get some good reviews and the price is reasonable

Re: Picked up this today
Cheers. I need to buy one of those skinny cleaning rods before I shoot her. I'm not sure what scope I should go for as the best thing I have is a vx2 4-12 (on a cz527 fireball) and haven't really needed anything better. I think this one deserves something better though. The Americans come with rings...

Picked up this today (cz527 17 rem)
I'm a big fan of cz/brno rifles and own quite a few. I managed to pick up a brand new cz527 17 remington (don't think many of these made it to Australia) and I seem to have won the timber lottery. It's nearly too good to take shooting compared to my others. My original plan was to have it rechamber...

Re: Airgunners Helping Mother Nature
Turned the royale down to low power and smacked a few mice sometime last year. Shooting mice is definately fun. You can also see how small they are when compared to the oats on the ground. Re: 221 fireball velocities
Yeah I know all about the cz527 fireball. Researched it extensively before purchasing. I have not tested the 55gr pills a huge amount as the 40gr HP worked so well. I should not my load for the 40's is well over max. The max charge in the book left unburnt powder down the barrel. 18.7gr of 2205 is w...

221 fireball velocities
I've owned a cz527 fireball for a while now and recently shot a few of my loads over the chronograph. My chronograph reads slower than a mates so the figures seem to be correct and could possibly be faster. I'm pretty impressed with the numbers from such a small powder charge. With 2205 and 40gr sie...

Re: Rabbits with Springers
There is definitely alot more skill involved shooting those low powered air rifles when compared to the way I do it (32fpe and 48fpe pcp air rifles that shoot flat to 45m).
Well done mate. Keep up the good work

Re: Bunny's vs the Fx royale
I have only used digital night vision so can't comment on tubed or thermal. I genuinely like the nitesite and prefer it over my other dedicated unit. This because I don't have to remove scopes and can basically use it on any scope when needed. I went for the nitesite viper over the other models as i...

Bunny's vs the Fx royale
I'm new here so I thought I would start off with a post showing what I get up to. I'm not really a target shooter but after trying field target at Hornsby i think I'm hooked. Any ways a mate and I regularly go out and shoot a bunch of rabbit's when possible. We use Fx royale's in 25cal and 22cal alo...
