There 249 at my local new, they did bring out a 16in barrel model but no one seems to have them, will go to the local tomorrow and see what sort of deal that can do on a savage

Went into qge today for a quick look while picking up afew other things, bloke there pretty much rubbished the ruger and tried to get me Onto a 17hmr, had a look at the savage mark 2 fvsr, will do a bit more Googling and see if anything else pops up, thanks for your input so far fellas keep em comin...

Tbh was going to get a howa but Lgs said I would have to wait a while before they were available again, the tikka came up a good price and there known shooters so wasn't too worried about it, I do love it ( not as much as ya best mate westy ) more accurate than I am so makes me look good.

Beau, I carry a square of core flute with me behind the seat of the ute, when I need to check, I hang it between two wires on a fence, put a small square of electrical tape in the middle and use that to check my zero, works good for centre fires as well as rim fires. Thanks fellas, should hopefully get a pig or two and maybe a fox if I'm good enuff giving the new whistle a toot. Will be more of a helping out the farmer trip and a bit of a cull if it's not to wet out there, fuckin rained the last two times we been out there they love us !

Got a tikka t3 varmint that I pulled apart to lighten the trigger from the factory 3lb down to 2 does feel much better now that's for sure, I did have it sighted in bang on at 200, just wondering if it's worth putting afew through it before I head off again in afew days time culling just to make sure?
