I was running a 17 ppc 20 odd years ago with 25 gr hornady at 4400 + pps went well on foxes tried 19 grn but I couldn't get them to stabilise don't rember barrel twist

Got a 2-7 on 35 wheelen it's been a great scope as good as my leupold been dropped gone swimming hasn't shifted or foged up I would put another on a hunting rifle

I loaded 300 gr woodlies for my 338 and my mate used it with great success he shot buff,scrub bull brumbies donkies and pigs I was back up with a 458

Just had my old 22-250 of 30 years re barrelled to 6mm dasher short throat for pills up to 80grn as a windy night fox snotter hope to start loading soon so I will be trying some of these loads suggested still working up a new load for my 6slr with 85 grn v max

I use a 240 mm Light Force and shoot on the edge of the beam but also use an orange filter when the foxes get a bit light shy or when shooting on my own .The Red one is to hard on my eyes so i only use it for close range or around the bush as it cuts down on the reflection from the trees and graneti...

I would try a proven sope and mounts first have had that problem with a brand new leupold that was faulty.Then the bedding then the ammo and if none of that works stick it barrell first in the ground and throw a few tomato seeds around it :D Sometmes cheap works sometimes it dont you can only try GO...
