Re: Which Lever Action to get....

Anyone have any thoughts on a Rossi M92 20" .357?
Worth it or not?

Re: Two new family members.

With both me and the better half having a licence, we technically are able to have 30 rifles/bangsticks each. Is this a queensland thing? Please explain. The first section I believe applies...I could be wrong, but going by this and also because my missus will have her own firearms licence and rifle...

Re: Two new family members.

Famous last words: ...we might possibly need a bigger safe in the next few years.. Experience suggests the safe will fill quicker than that. I sincerely hope so. haha I think once the better half gets back into putting holes in things she'll want to add to the collection as much as i do.

Re: Two new family members.

Finally got around to getting a photo of my two new Tikka T3 hunters. Both .223 and topped with Redfields - a 3x9/50 and a 4x12/40. Hope to get out soon to test out the Tikka accuracy and zero in. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/17/gu7anese.jpg Very nice! Which model Redfields are you running? I ru...

Re: Two new family members.

Was after .308 at the time but the LGS we were at didn't have any Tikka's in stock of it and also both myself and the better half being ex-army we were used to that calibre so just settled on the two .223's with every intention of getting a .308 later on. With both me and the better half having a li...

Re: Which Lever Action to get....

Thanks guys for the feedback. I'll be putting another PTA in, in the next month or so. Enough time to get the cash together for a Marlin 336. Will just have to decide which calibre to go for when I go to my LGS. If they have a .44 available one of them, but I'd settle for a 30-30 if all else fails.

Re: Which Lever Action to get....

I bought the wife a Marlin 336 XLR and she (ok so do I) loves it. I particularly like the 24"barrel - can get projectiles travelling a bit faster to hit harder. Flattens out the trajectory a bit. It all depends on what you will be hunting and at what ranges, I personally am not a huge fan of &q...

Which Lever Action to get....

Hi everyone, just recently got my 2 x .223rem and have been looking at lever actions as a backup/scrub gun. I've had a look at a Marlin 336 in 30-30, but was thinking more like a .357 or .44. Don't think I'll need to go up to a 45-70. Was wondering if anyone can shed some light on any other brands e...
