Re: moly kit
Thanks Happy, always wanted to know how it was done the cheap easy way. We don't go much into bashing blokes who put up ideas on here, we are a little more gentlemanly than some of the other places, although at times it can get a little heated. Your welcome but I just got hassled by kickingback for...

Re: Corbin CSP-1 S-Press
How can it be any slower than any other manual press? As for material cost, tooling etc, who gives a shit. You don't know me, you don't know what I do for a living or machinery I have at my disposal. If you want to have a crack with an overwhelming opinion keep going, it's giving me a good chuckle....

Re: Lee Classic Hand Loader - dangerous?
Who ever told you they were dangerous was talking out their arse. I used two when I started out loading in the early 80s, first one was for a 222 and then a couple of years later I had one for 6.5x55. They are a great way to get into loading, cheap to purchase and make really good ammo. Back then I...

Re: Corbin CSP-1 S-Press
I will use it for reloading. Not buying one tho, I will be making it. Unless you are reloading for very large cartrdiges it's overkill for reloading , slow to use and heavy to move about . You could buy an RCBS RC for what it will cost to build this exact press because of the amount of metal and ro...

Re: New dies
Absolutely yes . New dies have anti rust lubrication in them and potentially dust , swarf you name it . Something that is catching a few reloaders is that they may be using unsuitable lubricants. Now if you use a lubricant that is not designed to take high pressure and temp . then it can detonate in...

Re: Corbin CSP-1 S-Press
A Corbin Csp1 press is a bullet swaging press but you can reload on it. Not that great for small cartridges . As a swaging press it will work very well upto short 458 cal bullets. They are exaggerating a bit labelling this press as " benchrest reloading " It's a very good bullet swaging pr...

Re: Hornady halting bullet production for rest of 2013
Australian Govt sold all the 30cal bullet making machines, so they outsource. Wonder why they dont use Speer pills on the Thales ammo? Cheers.... Con Incredibly stupid people . You know when the World put an embargo on South Africa because of apartheid it forced them to build their own indust...

Re: moly kit
I think Happy Jack has it sorted out well, But i have tried the water mathod with i saw on Accurateshooter.com. it involves washing and cleaning the new projectiles ( i used warm water and Simple Green ) then put 30 or so at a time into a small plastic screw top container together with water and a ...

Re: Choosing bushings for 260 neck die
If your chamber is a factory one then you don't need to worry about neck to wall clearance as skimming the neck will make more clearance not less . If you are going to partial neck size then that works ok with skim neck turning but you then need a body die to size the body so you don't disturb the n...

Re: moly kit
I hope it helps someone out. There is quicker ways to do it but the quality of the coating will not be as good. One of the problems is it is so easy to get any kind of coating applied but the effectiveness of said coating may be questionable . I have refined and proved this process over many years a...

Re: moly kit
You don't really need a kit if you can't find one . Buy some Moly from a bearing service and some 4mm steel balls and if you already have a rotating tumbler you are fairly set. Forget any carnubba wax it is not essential if you tumble in three separate goes approx. 30 minutes a time and towelling o...

Re: Hornady halting bullet production for rest of 2013
 You mean to say there is someone out there that doesn't already hoard reloading components. yeah! If the dumbass American's didn't go stupid and buy everything we wouldn't be in this mess! That is part of the problem for sure but they are also trying to fill Government orders and poss...
