Re: Need a 3 positional stock/chassis for my Tikka CTR, which one's best ???
Anschutz silhouette style would be my choice, a hatchers is probably the easiest way for a T3 inlet,

Re: .224 AR
Wouldn’t a 224 Grendel just be a 22 PPC?

Re: Accuracy problem diagnosis
Sorry guys, I should have included a bit more info. Rifle is my Sako 75 in 6.5x55 with Maddco barrel. As you say, accuracy is hunting level, but I was expecting better and I still think it's capable of more. The rail is only held on by friction on the tapered dovetail, which I was sceptical of, but ...

Re: Shortened stock for a junior
image2.JPG image1.JPG Had this out through the week, he is very happy with it and it seems to fit him well. I had to tape a rolled up teatowel around the butt to raise his head to line up with the scope, I might look into a more permanent solution for that. Started off with tin cans, they were too ...

Accuracy problem diagnosis
I have a rifle which I think is trying to shoot accurately but something is wrong, the group in the picture is fairly typical of what happens regurlaly. Shots touching but the overall group size is large. I'm thinking it is either bedding related, which will be fixed when the Grs i have had on order...

Re: Finding nodes
Are two rounds enough to get a reliable es? I'm interested not getting at you.

Shortened stock for a junior
My eldest is mature enough to have a shot under close supervision now but he was really struggling using a full size stock. Camel sold me one of his spare stocks and I set to it with a saw. It's defiantly diy standard but I should do the job. He can't wait to get out and give it a go now. https://s3...

Re: 222 and 50gn Z-max
21g of 2207 in mine, 0.5g over adi max, could probably go higher but it's accurate so I have never bothered,

Torque limiters
I have been using a Wheeler fat wrench for a few years, mainly for stock bolts and scope rings, I'm pretty happy with it but it's a little bulky to take shooting, I tend to leave it at home. I stumbled accross some miniature torque limiters from fix-it sticks in America and decided to give them a go...

Re: 7-08 or 308?
Thanks guys, I was 140g custom comps going at around 2600fps, i could probably get a bit more velocity by using 2213sc. The change is as much about swapping the rifle as the calibre, and I have another 6.5 already so I'm keen to try something bigger. 7mm kreiger ordered today! JD, rifle is for sale ...

Re: 7-08 or 308?
I'm sure lots of people use the swede and the the 260 successfully but I need all the help I can get. Plus I have 2 swedes now and have found I need to be careful in making sure I know which reloads are for which rifle. Finally it gives me a good excuse to change the tikka for a Sako. Curans post ha...
