Re: Ruger 17 HH
Remington LE were making them. Now discontinued. Seems a pump .223 is redundant in a place where a semi auto is available. ESP in a police/tactical guise. AR's reign supreme with aftermarket parts etc why buy a pump? I spoke to Raytrade as they are the Aussie distributor apparently he gets Remington...

Re: Show us your rig!
My trusty (and rusty) LN65 Hilux slug of an engine the old 2L but so simple. Redneck Snorkel on it cost me $50 as opposed to $465 for an aftermarket one. Here she is having some playtime after work in Katherine

Re: What Else Do You Do Outdoors?
My family and I enjoy geocaching. I enjoy taking my Mortorcycle out and blowing the cobwebs out. Apart from that 4WDing and hunting is about it (and I usually only 4WD enough to get me to my hunting spots LOL)

Re: what cal for blr ?
Depends on what and where you hunt and ranges obviously. If you were to buy a 375 H&H what would you use it on? Nothing in Oz really needs it but they are nice to shoot. As to the BLR I'd leave the bolt face as is and pick from the 308 family of cartridges. The 358 will kill anything in Oz witho...

Re: Leverguns
There's a good point DeadKelly. Not that I'm biased towards SMLE's or anything I know a guy that has a 303-25 for sale as well if anyone is interested. I think its built on a P-14 in fact so its even stronger and can be loaded to its full potential.

Re: Leverguns
Hey each to their own I found the 99 fiddly to load under pressure of a wounded buff in thick scrub (not my shooting, the owner of the 375's handy work). I think his is a rebarreled (sprinter) 375.

Re: Leverguns
http://media.browning.com/pdf/om/blr_02_262_om_s.pdf Eject to the right. BLR's are kinda cool my pick would be an older steel reciever. Savage 99's are sweet but the magazines can be dicky to reload in a hurry unless you get the detachable mag. A mate of mine has one in .375Win not a bad rifle. My p...

Re: Leverguns
30-30 has it all over the 357mag mate. Esp if you load those Leverloution pointy things from Hornady. The 357 is not a 200m rifle

Re: Martini Cadet .310 rebarrel
I have another cadet action at home, hmmm a .17 or a .20 now theres a decision. Couldn't find any pics of the Mashy last night, going hunting Saturday I''ll take some then, hopefully with some critters that have suffered a Bee Sting.
