Re: Oztent RV-3
We've got one, it's a ripper tent. If you do a lot of camping to justify it they are worth the price. The add ons are good as well, a fly is worth it to avoid condensation etc. Definitely a couples sort of tent. But with the tag along it could be used as a family tent, that's what we figured we'll e...

Re: Boyds stock for Brno
How have you been inletting and modifying the stocks? I've been thinking about something like that for myself but have somewhat hesitated at it if I have to have tooling beyond a battery drill and maybe a dremel. I'd be happy to hand sand etc. to widen channels So far my manufacturing/modification c...

Re: Learn me beach fishing!
Only tip I can give is learn how to worm as well. Almost as good as the fishing... Simple as dragging fish heads in the receding waves to leave a scent and watching for their heads to pop up (you see the trail in the water it leaves). Then all you need to is hold your scent in front of where the wor...

Re: Gunsmiths
As far as I was aware Bob had retired with Lithgow Locksmiths effectively taking over his shop and stock etc. Last I spoke to them they said Bob was still gunsmithing (for them or not I'm not sure) so maybe going though them might give you a better chance of finding out what can be done

Removing open sights
G'day guys, was wondering if any if you had experience removing open sights? Specifically on a zastava m85 in 223? Rear sight looks like it is just a matter of undoing two screws holding it down but the front doesn't appear to obvious. Haven't tried anything yet, at the moment it's just out of curio...

Re: Lee Classic Hand Loader - dangerous?
I was originally asking about the classic hand loader rather than the hand press-thanks for all the replies.
Has taken me a while to get my act together but for the amount of shooting I'm doing at the moment I think I'll give the little hand loader a try.
Will let you know how it goes

Lee Classic Hand Loader - dangerous?
I'm looking at starting to reload for my 223 and was considering the lee classic hand loader, BUT the local gunshop suggested (rudely...) that they were dangerous. The way I thought you used them I would have thought they'd be just as safe as anything else Are they worth looking at or should I just ...

Thanks - I'll PM you and have a look for Fen's posts.
I've got a couple of contacts that are going to help me out with places to go - as far as tanning, I've got two skins I've dried from late last winter that I'll probably have a go at tanning myself, then I'll make my mind up from that...

Getting into shooting sports - Bathurst/Lithgow area
I'm relatively new to shooting but I've got a Zastava 223 and want to look at least at doing some range shooting to get my eye in, if not have a go at some competition shooting. Has anyone had any experience with either of the Bathurst ranges or the Lithgow range? Is it simple enough to get involved...
