Re: Yrrah return all well here still.
Thanks UAV Raven, MICK AND DAVID for responses. At least I can feel comfortable that you folk are still on deck. Keep looking after those ladies; they are treasures. David, the starling death drop 60 yd tree seldom sees them any more. Again, shooting can have a very relevant effect on pest populatio...

Yrrah return all well here still.
Just checking in to see if everyone is still on deck during the current crisis. Turned 83 in Feb. Wendy will be 80 this month. We are very fortunate to have had 56 years married so far and still in love. :D I have done as much, possibly more, shooting these last years and may share some of it shortl...

Great shooting as always Harry. Good power from from the Hornet to. Is that standard or has it had a bit of a power tune? Gavin, it has one of John Bowkett's special regulators. I am unsure as to the reg setting or the transfer port lumen. The reservoir is 125 cc extended to approx 160 cc, barrel l...

Re: More BSA Bowkett Hornet .22 in Club 50 metre rimfire shoot.
Thanks for that advice David. At 82 I'm still too young to lose memory but I don't recall ever knowing that. Curan, keep shooting that Hornet to keep the O rings and seals flexible. If ever you need the regulator overhauled I will give you John Bowket's contact details. You must be chasing do...

Re: More BSA Bowkett Hornet .22 in Club 50 metre rimfire shoot.
Edit. In both the .22 and .25 barrels the bores have a continuous taper to, I understand, allow the hammer forging mandrel to be withdrawn. The result acts like a full length barrel choke and ensures the pellet is at its smallest radius at point of emergence.
Sorry for that.

More BSA Bowkett Hornet .22 in Club 50 metre rimfire shoot.
Last Sunday at Surherland Small Bore range Sydney. First my five shot sighter group : 50 metres with JSB 18.1 gr at 965 fps. 20190312_093346-1.jpg Then the 20 shot target. I chose not to adjust the sight but to hold off at approx 4:00 o'clock on the 9 ring. Got caught with head and tail wind change...

Re: O rings and compressors
Chris, they should be there when we get back to the farm next week to finish cropping Wendy's lavender. I will give an initial report when I get mine operating; and perhaps at intervals over the year. I will leave a scuba tank at the farm. That will save having to transport one up and down every tri...

Re: O rings and compressors
Thanks Lewis. I will be at the farm again from 15 th Jan, so hope to have it up and running while we are there. Gavin, they are Chinese Yong Heng as I understand it. Supplied by Gunroom Brisbane where Lewis is helping with springer servicing. The compressors have upgraded extra water filters and som...

O rings and compressors
Just on and noticed you are too Lewis. No sign of the compressors yet, maybe Monday. Do you have any breech "o" rings to fit the FWB 124 D Lewis? Not needed immediately but for future. The rifle has settled in at 10.5 fpe with 8.44 gr, a little more with 7.9gr. It is amazingly accutate and...

Re: HW 100 Repairs
Hi Chris, You can have every confidence in Gun R repairs. I know that as of just recently GR has entered into a relationship with Lewis Reinhold to do repairs and modifications on pcp and spring guns. Lewis is familiar with the HW 100 as he was involved with those when they first arrived back before...

Old antique BSAs - how good would they have been -
- with modern pellets and a scope? Today I trotted out my old 1919 Light .177 BSA and shot this group at 25 yards with Predator Metalmags and the open sights. I have shot Indian Mynas with these. shot_1527399091212.jpg[/attachment. [attachment=0]Studio_20180527_221441.jpg Perhaps the old prewar Mick...

Re: FX Crown 100 yd MOA.
No David. This is the new FX crown that has full length rifling, only 1:28 inch, in replaceable barrel liners. So it is possible to change the liners to dfferent twist rates for different pellets/bullets. The regulator can be adjusted from the outside too. This is the one OZ Post bent the original b...
