Re: Cometa .20 pellets: suggested retailers?
Hi Steve Potters' are the JSB importers. I handed the agency to them when I departed. The best pellets in the RX/RX1 .20 were Beeman Kodiaks at 13.34 gns. Crosman Premier and the JSB were too fat for the bore. I noticed in the last batches of HW .20 barrels that they swallowed the JSB's easily and t...

Re: My first air rifle feinwerkbau 300s
A sick 300S will shoot a lot harsher than a nicely set up one. They can fairly thump and I saw this often in abused club guns. If the action doesn't slide on the rails it will kick of course. Also if the the steel piston ring/compression cylinder are worn or the breech seal isn't working they can be v...

Re: My first air rifle feinwerkbau 300s
Something short so it doesn't intrude and make loading fiddly and dangerous. It must be a proper airgun scope with AO too. Even though the 300S is recoilless to you it isn't to scopes and will break them!! You also need to use proper mounts designed for FWB with the hardened cross pin. Less than the...

Re: My first air rifle feinwerkbau 300s
Yes
That's a good idea.
Squirt a little on a felt pellet with a real pellet behind it and fire.
Simple as that!

Re: My first air rifle feinwerkbau 300s
I used to use the big spray can of G96 to wipe down bluing and remove finger prints. It was great and I loved the smell!!! NEVER spray it on directly!!!! You do not want it anywhere near the compression chamber of a spring or gas spring airgun and ESPECIALLY nowhere near the intake of a PCP or any p...

Re: My first air rifle feinwerkbau 300s
I always hated cleaning rods in airguns. They do break! A 300S isn't going to lead foul the barrel because it doesn't spin the pellets fast enough. All you need is to clean out any lubricant from a rebuild and any moisture. I like Q/C felt pellets but I always put a real pellet behind them. Don't use...

Re: Happy New Year to the airgunners out there
It can be a bit quiet on this air gun forum at times, but I've always appreciated the quality of information we have had available from Harry and Lewis and others (Greyskull, you too!). I've learnt a lot from this section. So I figured it was worth chucking in a Happy New Year to the airgunners, an...

Re: New model Feinwerkbau Sport pics
Apparently, the 120 series had triggers so bad nobody could hit the side of a barn with them. And the new gun doesn't have a Weaver rail. And it's got Feinwerkbau written on the side. And the stock won't work with a 56mm sidewheel scope. And springers are dead anyway. Etc. Etc. Etc. Yes to a...

Re: New model Feinwerkbau Sport pics
A lot of those guys are nuts, pure and simple. They are. I always expected the Sport to be at least $1000 RRP. It has to be if it's the real deal and not a collaboration with another company. The Beeman R1 retailed for just under $1000 five years ago. If I was still in the business I would plonk do...
