New ADI powder booklet
Has anyone downloaded or have the latest (Version 6) I am reloading for the 243 using 2209 & have noticed there is quite a difference in suggested powder weight charges between the two manuals. Havent got them in front of me right now but has anyone else noticed? I might email them & ask why...

Re: Gamo CFX 177 groups - GTR4G upgrade
Went out bunny busting again last night, man I love my CFX, it so so accurate. The only drawback is the slow follow up shot, cranking on the spring & putting the pellet in through that little fill port thingo. Nailed 7 bunnies all with head shots at various distances, I bought a mate along &...

Re: Gamo CFX 177 groups - GTR4G upgrade
I got back home today to find a parcel from Charlie Da Tuna! I had a look at the instructions & watched the youtube video a couple times & thought nothing ventured nothing gained. It says if you are replacing the spring a press is mandatory but if you are not then you "can do it by hand...

Gamo CFX 177 groups - GTR4G upgrade
I am in the process of upgrading the trigger in my Gamo CFX 177. I have ordered it from the USA & waiting for it to arrive, so while I am waiting I thought I might try some different pellets to do some before & after measurements. I am trying the artilary hold in the bench rest position. Dis...

Re: Cost to reload the .243
Well thats more food for thought, once again, varying prices on new brass. Whats the difference in the brass? will the exxy brass last longer or are they built to a tighter spec? Prices range from 0.64c/round if you buy 1000 Winchesters or 0.68c/round if you buy 500 & up to $1.60/round for Lapua...

Re: Cost to reload the .243
Dont forget cost of shells too mate. Depending on loads you might only get 6 from a shell or if your loading back you may get a dozen. You will be up for new shells every so often as well... Oh yeah, I didnt mention the shells. What I have been doing so far is keeping the factory brass after I have...

Cost to reload the .243
I have recently got into reloading so I thought I might put in the costs that I have been able to reload at. This could be handy info for people looking at getting into reloading. I would have found this information handy when I was looking at getting into reloading myself. Do we do stickys? These c...

Re: What to do with ammo fireformed in someones elses chambe
Had a great day at the range today, I reseated the "unknow" primers into empty cases & fired them off, sounded like a standard velocity .22LR going off. Then binned the "unknown fired" brass in the brass bin. All the stuff I got from the guy at work has now been disposed of, ...

Same, I emailed them direct & they sent out the replacement bits free of charge from the US to sleepy backwater Perth.
