Re: omark rebarrel

Seddo My thoughts on that is that they are different types of competitions. BR is about shooting groups and fclass is shooting scores. As rinso said the 6mm and 30 seem to group more consistently in aggregates than the 7mm but the 7mm with the better BC probably are more 'forgiving' when picking th...

Re: Chamber Dimensions

Looking back at the picture there does appear to be quite a long thread relief at the chamber mouth.. The wall thickness is quite thin here and so this probably contributed to the expansion as there is no support from the receiver. Cheers Leeroy If the tenon threads were cut under spec there would ...

Re: Chamber Dimensions

Leeroy, you being an expert in all things like this, would the action ring be getting larger by the same amount, thereby making it the same to remove the barrel ?? It would be a very dangerous development if that was the case don't you think? No the action wouldn't be growing, the forces developed ...

Re: Chamber Dimensions

Leeroy, Wouldn't surprise me that the chamber has grown, I've had 300 Redneck chambers on 1.25" tenon grow 4 or 5 thou, to the point where you had to resize the web to get the case back in. Funny stuff steel, but it seems to find a way to move itself under 65000 psi. And yes, the barrel screwe...

Re: Chamber Dimensions

G'day Albow.

I am a bit confused.. If that barrel back end had grown by 0.008" how did you manage to remove the barrel from the action? That much expansion would have well and truly locked the threads together..
Are you sure the chamber wasn't always oversize?

Re: 1000ydBR website

G'day Brad

The Brisbane club has a pretty good website with results etc, might be worth talking to them about expanding the site to include national results?

Re: Townsville Results 1/9 and 7/9

Guys, I have posted the results from last weekend's 1000yd, and yesterday's 500m. Both days were characterised by high wind, with last weekend requiring up to 7 minutes on the scope. That said consecutive sighters would go off the paper left and right, with about 1.5 minutes of mirage to make thing...

Re: Aussie Blind 1000yd Records

Hi Leeroy, Thanks for the info. I didn't start this thread to start a fight, just chasing the numbers. Do you guys in Brisbane have any dates for next year yet? I had a look on the website but didn't see any. I will be in Brisbane a few times next year, so might drive down and bring the HG for a Su...

Re: Aussie Blind 1000yd Records

G'day Jeff

Some old Brisbane results here..http://www.angelfire.com/planet/longdistance/BRC.html

And from 2012 on the Brisbane club has it's own website with all the results data your looking for.

Hope that's of some help..

Re: ExtraVision 3rd 1000yd BR International Postal Match Res

Compromise my arse. It would take a capitulation, boycott or possible exclusion of Townsville to get the Nationals thing rolling. Well with an attitude like yours, your right, it will never happen.. No-one in Brisbane wants take home targets? That really comes as no surprise as some of you g...

Re: ExtraVision 3rd 1000yd BR International Postal Match Res

Stuart, Where in the rules does it say that a blind shooter can't have his target? Too much to ask? Seems petty. I for one prefer to have my targets without sighter pegs rammed through the bullet holes. Jeff No where.. We don't give out targets because no one in our club wants them. It's that simpl...

Re: ExtraVision 3rd 1000yd BR International Postal Match Res

Good try Deano, We attempted to get something going along these lines a year or so ago, the silence from Brisbane was deafening, see, they run the Aus Shooting Games or whatever they called the event last month, and there is NO WAY they will let someone run an Australian Shooting Championship, migh...

Brisbane 1000 YD BR Australian Shooting Games Results

G'day Folks.. Well our Anual ASG event has come and gone for another year.. We had a very good turn out this year with 19 local and interstate shooters rolling up for the 4 day event. Brisbane 1000 YD BR Australian Shooting Games
