safari slings

Hi all,

I read about someone praising the Safari sling as providing ergonomic carrying in the field. Anyone got one?

How do you rate them compared to a conventional one?

Re: barrel de-resonator

I tried one on my CZ 452 varmint barrel which shoots OK, my groups spread out, with more fliers than usual. So I moved it some and my groups looked liked they'd been from a shotgun!
Anyone want em for free?
Just pay the postage, you can have em - 1x sporter, 1x varmint.

Re: Ultrasonic Cleaner - Heads Up

Does anyone have an easy way of drying cases after cleaning? I read Nick Harvey say that even a low heat in an oven can soften brass. I tried standing wet cases in a frying pan on the smallest burner on my gas stove at the lowest heat, to warm them up, wasn't enough. So I did it again ( only enough ...

Re: Nosler 55gn Ballistic Tips.

I recently shot 2 goats with Nosler BT with my Tikka .223. Both were neck shots and I was amazed at the amount of damage. vertebrae shattered, huge hole, instant death. I think you'll be pleased with results. :P

Re: barrel de-resonator

I just bought one of each standard size for sporter barrel and larger varmint size, but haven't had a chance to test em at the range.
I am hopeful, as metal tuners seem to work for benchrest guys. :)

I reckon you might as well seat for the maximum length that will fit your mag. If it doesn't fit the mag I don't want it. 8)

Re: Nosler Shots

I've been using Nosler Ballistic tips in my Tikka .223 and find them very accurate. I've only taken game with the 55gn projy - two goats neck shot and wow!- unbelievable damage. Vertebrae pulverized, huge gaping hole. 2206H powder - I'm impressed.

Bipods

I'm wanting to get myself a bipod, and I've read enthusiastic praise for Harris. There are several models though. I want to use it at the range on my CZ 452 .22LR varmint, and also field shooting my Tikka T3 syn/stain .223 varmint. I've been using a Caldwell Rock and front rest on the bench, but fou...
