G'day Mulga,
you reckon firearms are bad,try chainsaws. Made in Europe, used in America there is a horrid mish-mash of inches (fractions), inches (decimals) and metric.
Keeps my students confused for days!

Re: 20 practical info & reamer questions
G'day Chappo, I have 2 Practicals, one a 1:12 Ruger barrel on a Tikka 595, the other a 1:10 Lothar Walther barrel on a Sako 461. Both made using a 204Ruger reamer run 90 thou short and both shoot 40g VM's beautifully.Case forming is really easy with a Hornady 20 cal neck die and load using a 20 cal ...

Re: 40gr Hornady
G'day Joe,
my 2 20Pracs love them. Tikka has a 1:12 Ruger barrel, Sako has a 1:10 Lothar Walther. They occasionally have v good specials on them for bulk buys too.

Re: Hornady LNL Powder System
Have just had my first proper session with the Hornady and it worked really well. Throwing 25.8g of 2206 for my 20 Prac I had it set on slow speed and timed nicely to seat a projectile before the next beep. It threw over a couple of times but once I got the settings right was very consistent. Just w...

Re: Varmint Scopes? Feedback on brands
G'day Tez, I have 3 Conquest 6.5-20's and 1 Conquest 4.5-15 on various varminting/spotlighting rigs and a Bushnell 6500 4.5- 30 on my 20/250. To my rapidly deteriorating eyes the Conquests are better under the light and very close to my and mates "top of the range" (and price!) Euros. Chee...

Re: Projectiles from Reloadinginternational.com ?
I was hoping somebody may have some I can try.Berger recommend 1:8 but it seems they stabilise in some 1:9 barrels. Not inclined to bring a heap in to find I can't use them.Wouldn't be all that easy to on-sell them here either. What would you be using them in Manna?

Re: Extraction problems
Brad,
will a projectile slip back into a fired case? If not, a neck ream may fix your problem. I had a few dramas with my 20-250 until I started reaming crap quality, inconsistent Rem & Win brass. Can't wait to get my hands on some Lapua 22-250 brass!

Re: 20 cal berger bullets
G'day dangaff,
the 50's perform v well in my 20-250 but I use 40g v-maxes and 34g nosler shots in my Pracs. So much cheaper and do a great job.Still trying to get the importers to bring in some 55g Bergers to try.

I bought a heap of 50 grainers from Pro Cal when Peter was able to import them but Parabellum are the only importers now.
