Re: Switch Barrel Lug
Pretty good eh? I would like to see one from a customer though. Maybe it's a little more involved than he makes it to be.

Re: Switch Barrel Lug
I think that this lug set up would be the best for me. I don't think I would be switching barrels so frequently that wearing out the set up would be an issue.
As long as it can be used in a chassis I will be looking into it.

The only special occasion that comes to mind would be the amnesty! Take it out of circulation so that it would never hurt someone's eyes again!

Re: 17 HMR at 5 Meters.
Above I wrote "They will vaporise. Very untidy" To elaborate, they will vaporise, the end result will be very untidy. At 5M even a vaporised projectile will blow a big messy hole. ( they are travelling at several time the speed of sound!).I have shot plenty of wallabies at very close rang...

Re: Mossberg Thunder Ranch MVP Patrol 5.56
Hahaha mad house is a good name! Welcome Keachie, this forum will end up costing you a lot of money! I may be biased because I own one but tikka would have been my pick. They just work. Mine has never had the love of some of the rifles being used by other member in this site but it shoots ...

Re: borescope ??
I was looking at a layman for shits and giggles...... Over $500 in Australia but around $100 cheaper to get it shipped from the states! I said something on a Facebook page and some bloke pops up and reckons that everything gun related is not considered dangerous and incures a $250 fee for dangerous ...

Re: Bird Night Work.
Mate if I was you(jealous as buggery) I would be going for a PCP 17 and an NV scope. Using IR light some guys are shooting huge amounts of rats and airborne rats using this technique. You can even make your own NV setup using security cameras and IR lights with a pair of video goggles. Do yourself a...

Re: Forster Co-Ax Press
I reckon as soon as I have my own place again, I will get one. Like to move on from the Lee. It does fine but that sparked my interest as soon a I saw a video of it in action.

Re: Forster Co-Ax Press
I will get a spare set of spring just to cover my arse in the "fu@k It" moment. I had time to get the press mounted on my bench on friday night. It looks good on my bench in the QD stand. It does sit a little high and the top lever will take some getting use to but it feels a lot better t...

Re: Looking to reload, so it's time for silly questions
With scales its worth mentioning two things accuracy and sensitivity. See as the lyman/chargemaster etc are designed to pour the powder to the scales they scales are designed to be sensitive enough to accurately weigh while it is pouring. Other normal electric scales you might trickle in they will ...

Re: Looking to reload, so it's time for silly questions
I have not done much reloading for a while now due to family and other stuff but I have a Lee anniversary kit and for me doing simple .223 it's fine. Make sure everything is lubed and off you go. It really depends on what you are reloading for I guess but if you are wanting to get the most accurate ...

Re: Tikka T3 Varmint Stainless
I have a T3 in .223 and its my farm rifle(when I was farming). So it gets not special treatment and is used basically how you have described how you will be shooting. I love it and just wish I could shoot it more! Only thing that shot poorly out of it was highland ammo but I was so disappointed with...
